Please can I hear from people who had BA then baby
Hi There
I have asked this question before and I've been given lots of opinions.... But can I please hear from anyone who had their BA then had a baby 12 months later.
I am due to have my BA in September. I am 32 years old and currently an empty 32c due to losing weight a couple of years ago - I am hoping to achieve a D cup.
If I have my BA in September and try for a baby say next September what will happen to my boobs?? I am not planning on breast feeding but I mean more from a appearance point of view....
I would very much like to hear from anyone who has personal experience.
Thanks so much ladies

Jessica has a diary of her pregnancy after ba in the diary section hun. Most would advise you wait and have your baby first as it can have an affect on your new boobs and you may want another ba after just 2 years of having them.

I'd agree with misf1, could you start your family then have a BA? Surgeons will ask if you've completed your family in your consultation and they'll have to make you aware that they will change after pregnancy due to hormones etc.
It may also cause problems with aftercare too. Have a read of Jess' diary and see what you think

Hi Hun
I had a BA when I was 26 than had my first child at 29. I had no problems and my boobs survived it all...and I breast fed....and they still looked ok! Maybe I was lucky.
PS I wish I was 29 now :-(

Re: Please can I hear from people who had BA then baby
Hi Tracy,
I had my BA a year ago and am hopefully planning on starting a family in next year or so too
I know it is much more sensible to wait till after youve had a family but i really wanted my BA and thought god i might not end up having a baby for years yet for alsorts of reasons maybe financial maybe medical so i just thought 'go for it' or i could end up never having my boobs done. You just dont know whats going to happen, hopefully we will have no trouble conceiving but you just never know, it took my friend over 2 years to get pregnant and another is about to embark on lengthy IVF treatment.
Re ruining them; apparently if you have very little breast tissue to begin with you have less chance of 'ruining' your boobs and also breastfeeding 'knackers' them more according to our lovely James McDiarmid.
Like Misf1 says I accept i will probably want/need another BA in a few years following having baby x x

Thankyou so much for all your replies.
Janeybird - thankyou. I am panicking a bit because I am 32 years old and think I 'should' be starting a family. But as you have just said I don't wanna wait any longer as it could take a while to get pregnant anyways. Feel like Im being a bit selfish but I just want to done now, haha xx

Re: Please can I hear from people who had BA then baby
Just wanted to give my point of view. I am an ivf chick......i know now i can't concieve naturally. I didn't know this yrs ago. I had my son which was incredibly my 9th cycle.....then i had ba. ...Cause lets face it i never knew if i would be so lucky to fall pregnant again with our 2 remaining frozen embryos. Well i was lucky!!!! 10th go and i am now 33 wks pregnant :-) :-) i know its ideal to wait till after children but in my case we never knew if it would happen. Just a thought for you.
My friend by the way had ba years ago and has had 2 children and her boobies are fine :-) x

Re: Please can I hear from people who had BA then baby
I know people have already given advice but just to add my friend had her BA two years ago and then met a new partner, she fell pregnant the year following her BA and her boobies are absolutely fine. Even without a BA no-one knows what effect pregnancy will have on their boobs, so I would do what ever is going to make you happier x
