Sleep sitting up?
Hi girls,
Why do we have to sleep sitting up after BA? Can you not physically sleep lying down from the pain? Or other reasons? Xx

Re: Sleep sitting up?
I am not postitive but I think its just that out head has to be higher than out chest to help with the swelling so we dont have to be sitting up, just inclined partially. For myself i also just found it easier and more comfortable to sleep sittin up for the first week or two.
My advise for sleeping upright... lots and lots of pillows for behind and all around you. x

Re: Sleep sitting up?
There's no reaon at all to sit 'sleeping up' babe, just have your head and shoulders raised and you'll be fine, it's just to help the swelling disperse naturally into your body.
Keep a hot water bottle handy as well as lots of pillows to make you comfortable, I practically made myself a pillow fort LOL the V-pillow is excellent and will become your best friend! lol. I found a pillow supporting each arm and one under my knees helped alot too as well as having the hot water bottle on the small of my back as this cause your back to ache after a few days. xx

Re: Sleep sitting up?
they said to me it helps with the swelling, and i had hardly any..plus, it was actually too painful to lie completly flat, felt uncomfortable, and getting up from lying down killed my ribs and upper abs.
just prop ur pillows like a throne, and its not too bad!
