Starting to freak out bout what can go wrong
Hey guys well ive been researching and reading the complications section and I'm freaking out now
The surgeon did say things could go wrong but it was rare and after reading up on what exactly could happen oh my god I'm scared. I'm starting to talk myself out of it as I'm so worried. Anybody else scared? X

Re: Starting to freak out bout what can go wrong
hi hunni,
ive got my op in 5 days and im feeling nervous/scared/excited/worried/happy lol! if its something that you really want to do then you should def do it but be aware of the associated risks. ive learnt from this forum that you need to know exactly what aftercare you will receive, are they warranteed and what happens if something goes wrong. will they fix them for free/reduced rate? and for how long? when they can answer these questions you'll feel more relaxed! good luck! x

Hi hun,
They have to tell you the risks like they do with everything, but like your surgeon said it is very rare.
I was scared, but this is something that I have wanted since I can remember so I had to go for it. And I am so pleased I did and its made me so much happier. So far all is good.
You need to decide how much you really want it hun. This site really helped me to speak to so many women that have had it done.
Good Luck, hope you feel better about it soon. xxx

Re: Starting to freak out bout what can go wrong
Oh Hun we all feel / felt like this. Every surgery / procedure has it's risks and at least you have your eyes wide open and you are not going into this with a niaive perception that "it won't happen to you". This is what is so good about this site it shows you every aspect of breast enlargements, the good the bad and the ugly. As you know hun I've had to have two reops since my first BA 16 years ago. As I mentioned to you yesterday though I personally have never regretted my decision to have a BA, it changed my life for the better. I wished I'd had a little more understanding of what could go wrong so I could've been more prepared on how to deal with things but most things can be sorted out. xxxxxxxx If it's what you really really really want then try to relax and enjoy the journey

It's far better to be informed of the risks isn't it sweetheart, you know they're there and you know what to look out for and Nicola gave great advice in her post..
If it helps, I've suffered a complication and went through quite a bit after my re-op, still unfinished and I don't know a single person including myself and others that have suffered a complication that has regretted their surgery babe.. xx

Like the girls have said, it's best to be informed of what might go wrong so you're mentally prepared to deal with it if it were to happen to you. But like Cookie said, I don't know anyone who truly regrets having implants, despite the complications.
Re: Starting to freak out bout what can go wrong
Thanks girls you all put my mind at rest (a little lol) I think it's due to the fact I'm so so nervous. I haven't eaten much in 3 days and have got a upset tummy to
Since the consultation it suddenly feels "real" and I'm bricking it!!! Lolol
I'm glad i know the risks so i'm prepared and ready for it tho.
I've been and bought 2 sports bra's and new pyjamas today So i all set, just got to get over these nerves now...
I'll be a stick insect by next saturday at this rate
Thanks for the advice ladies xx

Re: Starting to freak out bout what can go wrong
It is completely normal to freak out at this point, I know I sure did!
Its good that you are going into this fully informed, however, these risks are rare and the way I looked at it, is we really face risk every single day, for instance, when we drive... yet we do that each day without worry... so yes, there is risks, but in my eyes the benefits WAY out weight those risks. Most of the complications that women may experience, they are fixable too... in my experience, even the women who hve had some trouble with their BA would do it all again.
My Ba has truly been one of the best things I have even done for myself!
Good luck hunni! x

Re: Starting to freak out bout what can go wrong
hey hun, jusy wanted to say i know how you feel - i went through this twice before and backed out. But if you want it enough you will eventually put these thoughts to the back of your mind and focus on the positive impact it will have on your life. I cant explain how scared i was twice before i was going to book but backed out. Like all the girlies have said its good to be aware of this risks so you know what u could be facing, you wouldnt want to get it done unaware of them. Im now finally ready and know only getting a BA will make me happy. Im unbelievably calm at the moment (BA on 7th June) and im the biggest worrier EVER! Sure i will be scared the day before!! But im sure its very normal and everyone does. But im not thinking about the risks or complications at this point.
Sure you will be fine hun, keep us posted
