Having a freak out!
im having a major freak out that I've chosen implants that are too big. I'm meant to be getting 375 in the left and 400 in the right.
I don't want to end up looking top heavy or a bit chunky. Should I switch to a smaller implant, maybe 50cc less?
Or am I just going through a usual process this close to a ba?
Help!

When is your op? If you can get to another sizing appointment it would be a good idea, if not, can you try the rice test again? Seeing as most girls seem to wish they had gone a bit bigger, I reckon it's unlikely you will regret the larger size. Also, don't forget it's all about how you dress once they have settled, you won't look chunky in nice fitting clothes

Re: Having a freak out!
It's next Thursday. I don't think I could get another sizing appt without seeming a major pain in the **naughty word**. I have tried the rice test but had tried rice as 350 before my sizing appt and found they looked way bigger than the 400s I chose.
I hope this is just a normal process of being six days away and getting nervous but i know I'd prefer to be a bit too small than too big

Re: Having a freak out!
The other girls on here will have more info since I'm pre BA, but maybe 50cc won't make that much difference anyway? In terms of looking "chunky" I mean. I think you're in pre-op panic.. if you chose that size, and made a decision on the day when you looked in the mirror, then it's probably going to be absolutely fine hun

Re: Having a freak out!
This is the normal "omg its a week away am i doing the right thing" freak out. Things to think about. 1) do you like the look with the rice? 2) Did you like the look when you tried on the sizers. 3) would you rather wake up a little too big or a little too small? 4) do you trust your surgeon?
In the grand scheme of implants, 50cc is nothing. Its 5 tablespoons. If its really worrying you, ask your surgeon to order the next size down, and see how they look in surgery.

I'd prefer to wake up too small than too big. I've just looked on the implant chart though and they don't do a 350 they do 355, the difference in them is actually only a mm in the base width and a mm in projection so I'm guessing there's not a lot of point in changing sizes?

Re: Having a freak out!
Sorry 5mm in base width. I had 3 different consultations with different places and chose the 420 with the first two so I must like the look.
I'd asked him at my consultation if he could decide between the sizes in surgery and he said no it needed to be my choice before I went under

Re: Having a freak out!
Im currently having exactly the same 'wobble'. Ive chosen 37cc also but am panicking about it! I tried 400 cc at my consultation, and like you, looked top heavy. I think its the norm to feel like this prior!

Its normal, think we all do this, your paying so much you want them to be right. But trust your previous judgement, I'm sure they will be great.
If you tried the sizers and liked them, GO4IT!

Re: Having a freak out!
Hi... I have those exact sizes !... I can tell you they are definitely not too big on me... I was the same as you, really didn't want to be too big... It really worried me... But they are perfect, just what I wanted... And I can see now that I could have gone bigger and that would have been ok too !!
Not sure what your stats are, mine are below... I measure a 36d, 34dd by the way xx

Re: Having a freak out!
Hi, did you like that size at your appointment? Did the surgeon think they were right for you. This is all normal what your thinking. I have the same size but I wasn't that small to start with. I love mine. Although they will be different on person to person. I think sometimes the nerves get to you a bit. I'm sure it will be all ok and you will be very pleased xxx

Re: Having a freak out!
Yep I liked them at the consultation, I think I'm just worried about them ending up huge and everyone being able to spot from a mile off that I've had them done, because I'm hoping that my padded bras have made it look like I have a decent set of boobs at this point, and that the implants will just replace that. Is there any chance I could have a look at your picture trail please Anne? Xx

Re: Having a freak out!
I'm having this exact freak out! I'm trying to convince myself it's completely normal and the difference of 50cc is minimal so won't make much of a difference! It's such a big decision we obviously all just want to make the best decisions for ourselves. I remember my surgeon telling me that my implants would look a bit smaller than when I had the sizers in because I'm having unders.

Re: Having a freak out!
Nope, thats wrong. You dont lose any volume just because you're having unders. Where do these surgeons get this from...
The science part - if you add volume to something, you still have the same amount of volume added, regardless of the placement of it. Think of it in terms of sweeping dirt under the rug. You've still got the same amount of dirt under the rug as you had on top of the rug, just in a different place. It might be in 2 piles, but its still the same amount of dirt. So no, you don't lose any volume because of going under.
Another example of this is one of our older Admin girls, I think it was MisF1. She had to switch from unders to overs for her own reasons. Still had the same size implant, and was still the same size post op. Nothing changed, just the placement of the volume.
