general feeling of unwell :-(
Hi Ladies
Just thought I'd ask if any of you have felt similar post op? I was fine for the first week or so, general aches and soreness but ok. I am now a little over two weeks post op and have had a real aching pain in righty and my nipples are so sensitive I have to take pain relief at certain times of the day. Around 6pm I start to get that sun bun feeling in my boobs and I feel totally wiped out and shakey, amost like I have the flu. Today I have been feeling shivery again although I am not ill, I have no sore throat or anything so I'm wondering if I might have an infection or something.
Have any of you experienced this?

Re: general feeling of unwell :-(
I would contact you clinic as soon as possible, just to rule it out. Sunburn feeling of your skin is normal though. Dont panic, it could be you are just a bit run down. Maybe you are doing too much as well.

Re: general feeling of unwell :-(
Thanks Julie xxx Yeah I'll contact them tomorrow. It might not be anything but I seem to get shaky especially at the end of the day when the burning boobs thing kicks in. I do have a tendancy to over do things so need to listen to my body. A short while ago I just layed on the sofa and fell into a really deep afternoon sleep! I don't usually do that so my body is telling me to rest.

Oh Yetti hun,
I don't think that sounds quite right. Have you got a temperature cos that's usually indicative of an infection.
Call the clinic and let us know xxxx

Re: general feeling of unwell :-(
Awww yetti babe c'mere It's not nice at all when you feel so bad.
I will say that not everyone is lucky enough to have a great recovery, there are some that take a little more time, with you having CC I'm presuming your sureon may have proceeded with a full capsulactomy, removing the entire capsule from the breast, this is a lot more invasive that a regular BA or re-op to replace implants so it may be the reason you're stuggling a little now as you're push yourself to do more... It took me a VERY long time to recover after my surgery babe so have hope and you're going to be OK.
You should DEFINATELY call yuour clinic and have them check you over though Yetti, any changes for the worse and your surgeon should be made aware.
Hope every goes well Yetti, you're such a lovely lady and hopefully this is just a hic-cup in your recovery that will soon pass xx

Re: general feeling of unwell :-(
Yes I did have a full capsulactomy and my surgeon did seem surprised on my first check that I seemed to be so well, so maybe I've just carried on thinking I'm ok and I am not allowing myself the time to recover as I should have. I am ok I'm still doofing around and stuff I just keep getting this horrible fever feeling of shaky etc yet I don't have a temperature.....weird. My right boob is hurting all the time and I think it's the nipple where the pain is coming from. I'll contact Sir John's lovely secretary tomorrow to advise him how I'm feeling and see what he suggests.
Thanks for all your kind words you lovely ladies

I hope your ok?! I know in my two weeks my skin felt like sun burn so bad and nipple is very sensitive. I am 3 weeks now and still feel the same. I asked my PS and he said it's normal.

Re: general feeling of unwell :-(
Hi lovely ladies
Cookie your Hic-cup was very funny
I am pleased to say that I really rested yesterday. I had a sleep in the afternoon and a gr8 nights sleep last night. I am feeling better today albeit I am really taking things much slower now. I think my body has been telling me to slow up so I'm now going to listen hard.
I hope you're all doing well :-)

Re: general feeling of unwell :-(
Yes I think was just totally wiped out, trying to do all that I normally do in a body that is working hard at healing itself. I wasn't giving myself any rest time. I can't say that I am now as I'm working all day and kids n stuff in the evenings but if I feel tired I take some time out now :-)
