Been for my Consultations... now which one??
right, so been for my consulations with Hospital Group and Transform, was impressed with both but was swayed towards hospital group because they were so professional and the transport there and back and also the lifetime guarentee on the implants. i'm a little scared as with hospital group its only a 3 year guarentee for scar tissue forming, which is what i have now and why i need to have a re-org. I've been told the biggest implants i can have are 545, has anyone else had these and are they pleased and approx what size are you now?

Re: Been for my Consultations... now which one??
Transform only offer a 3 year after-care policy to cover CC too babe, both Transform and The Hospital Group offer more or less the same, you can get the Allergan Naturelle from Transform too (these are the ones with a lifetime warranty as opposed to the standard CUIs Transform offer with a 10 year warrantly) they will say that they'll charge you more, but if you went back and told them the price you're getting them for at THG then Transform may well make you an offer to try and compete with that to bring you back over to them.
In saying that, I'd put your clinic option secondary to your choice of surgeo, was there one surgeon that you felt gave you that bit more reassurance then the other?
Maybe you need a second consultation with both before deciding?
Choose the surgeon that best suits you babe, you can always get the implants you want and if THG are offering a 3 year after-care policy covering CC then it's exactly the same policy you get with Transform. xx

Re: Been for my Consultations... now which one??
I think transform have recently upped their aftercare and have a 10 year warranty, so if you have a rupture due to a failure of the implant shell they will replace the implants free of charge, also if you get CC at grade 3 or 4 they will also replace the implant free of charge. I dont know about THG policy I'm sorry.
Re: Been for my Consultations... now which one??
i have 10 year warranty with transform, thats right it WAS 3 but now 10 i agree with what cookie says babe its the SURGEON u need to choose. The one youre happy with x

Re: Been for my Consultations... now which one??
Im guessing you have the CUI implants jen as thats the main one they use and u pay extra for the naturel ones. Did they not give you a book when you was in hospital? In the back of the book there is the warrenty for the implants? x
Re: Been for my Consultations... now which one??
Can those with '10 year after-care' with Transform please just check that the ten years applies to 'hospital costs' as well as the free implant replacement mentioned 'after 3 years' as it seems your surgeons costs are NOT covered after 3 years.
I smell a rat...
These quotes are from Transform website -
This mentions only that the 'implant' will be replaced, it makes no mention at all that hospital fees will be covered.
The ten year cover doesn't apply to seeing your surgeon after 3 years, I think I'd be giving them a call and asking should you have a rupture after 3 years as you then have to pay for the surgeon, would you also have to pay for all hospital fees too, if they say hospital costs and after-care for any revision after 3 years is free GET IT IN WRITING 'cos that's NOT what it says on the website.
I just think this may have been really cleverly worded to just mention the 'implant warranty' of ten years and not go into full detail after the 3 year period.
It was also interesting to see that rippling isn't covered at all in the policy.

I smell a rat...
These quotes are from Transform website -
Once you've had your breast procedure with us, your care doesn't end
there. As part of our comprehensive aftercare programme, your breast
implants are covered through our 10-year warranty scheme. This means
that in the unlikely event of a rupture, the implant will be replaced
free of charge within a 10-year period.
This mentions only that the 'implant' will be replaced, it makes no mention at all that hospital fees will be covered.
Together with the after-care they offer? This implies that that the implant and the after-care are both very seperate. The breast implants we use are made to exacting standards with the
highest quality control and together with the aftercare we offer,
This is what makes me suspect! After the 3 years you then have to pay!you
can enjoy total peace of mind. Don't forget you can also visit your
Surgeon for up to three years after surgery at no extra cost.

Re: Been for my Consultations... now which one??
I'm also concerned for anyone who got 'Lifetime cover' from the hospital group. They continuously bang on on their website about free lifetime after-care so it's very easy to miss the implant information as have you in the palm of their hands seeing only 'lifetime aftercare -
So, the 'lifetime cover' effectively only offers for CUIs 3 year cover for CC and 10 year cover for rupture.
For Naturelles, you get 3 year cover for CC and lifetime cover for rupture.
THG wesite HERE
Is all seems very cleverly worded.
Although you only get 3 years cover for CC, if choosing a surgeon from THG, it's best to get the Naturelles as you will be covered for life should you have a rupure as THGs website DOES clearly state that it includes hospital costs, but note also the mention and time limits for the implants.
Your “Lifetime FREE Aftercare” Scheme Does Not Include:
Revision without clinical indication (e.g. wish you'd gone for a larger size implant)
Further changes due to the natural ageing process (e.g. putting weight on, breast feeding, ageing)
Capsular contracture and implant cover for CUI / Natrelle implants beyond the stated period (see above)
So, the 'lifetime cover' effectively only offers for CUIs 3 year cover for CC and 10 year cover for rupture.
For Naturelles, you get 3 year cover for CC and lifetime cover for rupture.

Unlimited post-op appointments with a member of our clinical team - whenever you need them - so whatever your query and whenever it arises, you can see one of our experts at no extra cost
Revision surgery where clinically indicated at no extra cost
Additional days stay in hospital where needed free of charge
Additional drugs and dressings supplied at no extra cost
Access to emergency telephone support (numbers supplied at discharge) which you can use at any time during your recovery or even years later
CUI (standard) breast implants - 3 years capsular contracture (Baker
Grade 4-5) and 10 years implant rupture cover (where clinically
indicated)
Natrelle (premium) breast implants - 3 years capsular contracture
(Baker Grade 4-5) and lifetime implant rupture cover (where clinically
indicated)
Re: Been for my Consultations... now which one??
oh god who knew a boob job could be this complicated! i got told by hospital group that they only cover CC for 3 years because it will more than likely show in the first 6months-year. also hospital group kept saying to me 'unlike most other places we cover surgery costs if you're implant does rupture'. not sure about transform though... i REALLY liked my surgeon at hospital group, he seemed really confident and knew what he was talking about, he even noticed one of my ribs sticks out more than the other.. quite freaky lol. Although alot of my friends have had theres done at transform so i've seen certain surgeons work, where as with hospital group i only have one friend who has had it done and shes not the kind of friend i can be like ooooo whip off ur top! haha

Re: Been for my Consultations... now which one??
Just forget about your friends babe, this is YOUR surgery and what surgeon may have been right for them won't necessarily be right for you.
Choose who YOU feel most comfortable with hun, not your friends.
I will add that CC is not limited to the first 6 months after surgery sweetness, whilst you have your implants, you're at risk the whole time of developing CC, it can occur at any time so be aware of that lovely, it's just one of the risks we all sign up for when having a BA . xx

Re: Been for my Consultations... now which one??
hun, I also had consultations with Transform and THG. I ended up going with THG because I liked my PS best and the aftercare seemed best.
Cookie has some very valid points. No company will ever offer a lifetime guarantee against every single eventuality, they would all be bankrupt, but 3 years cover for rupture is good enough for me.
Good luck! xx
