How may consultations?
Hi girls,
How many different consultations with different surgeons did you all have till you decided on the right one?

Re: How may consultations?
I chose the first and only one I saw!!! Location was most important to me, I'd heard loads of good things about him, and on the day he was exactly what I was hoping for! Couldn't see any reason not to go with him really!
How many have you seen?

Re: How may consultations?
I would suggest seeing a few maybe 3. I seen 2 and spoke to one on the phone (he scared me so didn't want to meet him). You will know when you've met the one you want to do your op.
Re: How may consultations?
I've only seen one and he's the one doing my op in two weeks. I did lots of research and heard great things about him plus found loads online and in newspapers and extreme make over. He is lively and I trust him.
Just think I'm getting last minute nerves thinking I should have shopped around a bit!!!!

Re: How may consultations?
Jolene, I was the same as you hun, did lots of research, met with 1 surgeon, l liked him and trusted him, had my surgery with him and been very happy.
A couple of daye before though I did panic a little but that was just the last minute nerves. I think you know when you have met the right one personally.

Re: How may consultations?
Hi, i have booked two consultations for the same hospital, one through BMI and the other through mybreast. the mybreast PS was recommended through my GP as he knows someone that works at that hospital so already feeling swayed towards this PS.
I'm hoping that one of these two will be "the one" for me and i def agree that you just know if something/someone is right for you. Can't wait for my consultations (early feb) to make it all feel a bit more real!
I'm sure everyone gets the last minute nerves whether it's over the PS, size or the whole procedure. think i'll be a wreck from when i've booked til i get into theatre!!
good luck!

Re: How may consultations?
I saw one surgeon, had booked my date before I saw him and did no research!
I wouldn't advise doing things this way and if I had my time again I'd research like mad. Having said that I had complete faith in my ps even though I did have complications and would definitely use MB again.
I was completely clueless until i found this site which I think was a day or so before my original ba.

Re: How may consultations?
I did some research on the internet on surgeons and narrowed it down to two (I think). Went to see the first surgeon and I felt so at ease and comfortable with him and felt I could trust him to do the absolute best for me, that I decided to go with him immediately, paid my deposit the same day and had my op 3 weeks later. Maybe I should not have been so rash (it was shortly before I joined this forum), but I was happy with my decision (and I still am) - but then again I do tend to be an impulsive type of person, so perhaps I should not have taken my credit card with me LOL.
