Well as you will all know i have just had my re-op to get my expander out and change position of my left implant. On the morning before my surgery my surgeon pointed out my left was still much larger than my right and i told him i knew that. So when i came round from the op and right away couold see a massive size difference i was gutted.

I seen the plastics nurse yesterday who told me i have virtually no swelling at all and my stitches had healed great. She asked what i felt and i told her. Turns out he put in 470cc in my right and not the 520cc i had in before the op. The size difference is big and the shape of my breast has completely gone. I dont know if i will explain this right but now my left has a very nice breast shape, you can see its rounded on the outside in my bras/tops and looks good. its far from normal but its great compared to what i had. my right on the other had is alot smaller and completely flat looking, no shape to it at all. This is very noticeable in and out of clothes.

I am so upset by this as before the re-op i had that shape they werent perfect but both had a shape to them, i felt confident in clothes now am back to square one, were the are both very odd again. The nurse told me as they were pretty much in the same pocket it wont take me long to be fully healed, just a couple of weeks. i see my surgeon again in 7week and i will be expecting him to tell me why he did what he did.

before anyone tells me i should be greatful for getting them done in the first place i am believe me, i just cant get over how i am worse off now than i was just over a week ago. I know these things arent always straight forward and just wanted to share my story with other nhs ladies. I stupidly thought when i started this process that i would get one op and they would be pretty much even and i would be so happy but for me its not turned out that way. I never wanted or expected perfection i just thought i would look nearly even in clothes.

I doubt VERY much all your swelling has settled already babe, I really do.

I think when you have re-ops it makes us all the more critical of our boobs and from my own experiene I found I analysed my boobs so much more, to the point were I was actually looking for problems and then found myself dwelling on them till I got myself so upset thinking I'd have to go through the whole thing yet again.

Your just 8 days pre-op sweetness, you may very well find as the weeks pas and your breast settles things start to look better.

I know after my re-op I had one breast which looked smaller than the other and in an entirely different position to the other, I cried so hard as I had to constantly adjust my breasts in my bra to make them look like they had some kind of similarity, thinking that that was the best I was gonna get and I'd have to make do'

It took my boobs 10 weeks before the changes began, up until that time they seemed to get a whole lot worse before they got better.

I'd just relax hun, to say your breasts won't change at this stage s a little premature I feel, just give them time hun and by the time you go back to see your surgeon things might be different by then and if not I'm sure your surgeon will listen to your concerns Un-happy with result 571992 xx

I wonder why he would put a smaller one in your right when he already noticed it was smaller before, there must be a reason for it. It's a great shame he didn't explain to you himself after the op what he did and why, I hope you can get some answers when you see him and they settle in to place. xx

hi ladies, its been a busy time here at the moment. Anyway i was back seeing the nurse on friday as a couple wee bits of my stitches havent healed as well as they should have. The nurse did confirm that am back to normally, no swelling at all now. She noted my concerns yet again and still couldnt explain anything. I have however been told i have two different make of implants in and again she couldnt tell me why. I now have to wait until the 19th July till i see surgeon again to get the answers. am now going to have to pad out my right side again but will wait until i get to the 6 week mark before i get the gel inserts back out again x

Your implants are the same make babe, Allergan have a habit of renaming their implants which unfortunately does cause confusion like this. The Allergan McGhans simply had a name change chane to Naturelle, so as the two dates on your implants cards differ by a couple of years this will explain why you have one implant from 2007 called McGhan, then after then being renamed (same implants) when you had the other dated in 2009, this will be the Naturelle hun.

Take a look HERE lovely.

Hopefully your surgeon can give you more information sweetness. xxx

Hi Sars
Just read your story and as I am about to have to go for a re-op due to CC, I really do feel for you. I would be so cross if I was in your position, and I really hope that you can sort this out with them. Wishing you all the best xxx

Hi hun, just looking through the catalogues for you and found this info
the round (I dont know if you have round or anatomical so I'll give you both) Round could have a code like this: ST-110470 which are moderate profile
13.9 cm wide and 4.5cm projection
(these are the only Mcghan round implants I could find with 470g)
The anatomicals:
Style 410 code 27-MF-140-470 these are moderate height full projection 14cm width 12.9 height, 5.6cm projection.

The naturelle are exactly the same just given a different name over time
The round 420g implants are:
TRX420 or TSX420 codes and are xtra full projection 12cm wide 5.9cm projection
The anatomical 420g are 27-MF-135-420 code moderate height full projection
13.5cm width 12.5cm height 5.3cm projection

I think this may be the difference between going private and using the NHS babe, although I don't think it's exceptable at all, I think surgeons will make the best of what's available to them because on the NHS especially at this time, the money just isn't there in this field like it used to be...

To be honest babe, with all the problems you seem to be having and and with you being so unhappy I think I'd personally be starting to raise the money myself to get the boobs 'I' wanted sweetheart.... I know that's hard but as you've probably seen here from the many ladies hard pressed for cash who eventually get their boobs through their determination.

Really hope you manage to find happiness in your boobs Sarah. Un-happy with result 571992 xx

Sarah

Un-happy with result 571992 This does sound really rubbish. If they knew they didnt have the right size available I'm sure given the choice you'd rather have waited another few weeks for them t get it right.

Do you think they will replace the implant for you? Even if they will maybe (if you even want to go through another op) private will be a better route now. You will at least have saved a fortune on the expanding procedure so it shouldnt be too expensive.

I just really hope you get some resolution to this. xxxx

Sorry to hear you're having problems lovely, but you're no where near healing yet. Your body's coping with the trauma of being sliced open, so you need to give it time to heal.

You're very much in danger of being your own worst enemy in this. Like Cooks said, the slightest problem might now become magnified because you're looking for it. I know I did the same after my op, I worried myself about size and shape, the fact my scar was lumpy and open at one end, I seriously thought I ha nerve damage as I lost feeling in my hand… of course three years down the line I'm fine!

Your surgeon works on the NHS. He's qualified, he's experienced, he knows exactly what he's doing.

Try to calm down lovely. Give yourself a month without thinking about it (hard I know) to see if they settle. You're worryin yourself needlessly at the moment as how they look now isn't a reflection of what they'll look like six months down the line.

You have to remember, this is an NHS funded operation. This isn't for cosmetic reasons, it's due to a medical problem. So while one may feel they have a right for this that and the other, the fact is the NHS has funded this, so will do what they feel necessary to solve the problem and nothing more. They are under no obligation when it comes to size, they may take what you'd prefer but it's basically your opinion, and one they may not take on board.

If you go private you're well within your rights to say you want this size, this shape and this look. But with the NHS it's a case of (and I mean no disrespect in this whatsoever) beggars can't be choosers. You opt to have surgery to cover a medical problem, so your rights for re-op are very, very different to a private clinic.

well i havent been on for a while cause i needed time to get use to this. I am getting people telling me they can see a difference. Even my mother in law pointing it out to me (this being from the woman who ha no iea i had any issues until i told her i was getting them done). I seen my GP to get a bit of the stitching cut off today (tiny wee bit wouldnt go even though my scars are all healed weird) and he was shocked at how i have ended up. I am a 32d (so not overly large an certainly dont look it) but my right breast doesnt fill a D cup and the cup end up wrinkly. I would need to put in a chicken fillet to fill it out an give it a bit of shape. It is a case of i get what i get cause it is the NHS. I dont really have any case to moan on this at all. I see him on the 19th July so will see what he says.

I still personally think that at one month PO you have a lot of changes to go through.

If you're really not happy with size, why don't you see if you can save up to have the op privately? That way you'll be able to choose the exact implants and size you want.

Hi RoxyChick (and everyone else)

Sorry for not replying till now i hardly have time to myself just now with my mum being ill.

Well things arent really any better. I dont have to long till i see him but I know deep down i wont get another op. I love my left breast. Its sitting to low, its not as big as i was told they were aiming for but its a nice shape and with a decent bra it will sit higher. My right is still small and shapeless even though i can see the implant has dropped slightly. With the re-op the pocket was already there so not as much changes was to be expected as a first time op (well thats what my surgeon told me).

As for paying for going private that was never an option as we have a large sum of debt, mortgage etc and i have a chest wall deformity and breast tissue issues so a private op would have easily cost me £13000+ for everything i have been through and could possible still need to go through. I have never asked for huge breasts, i just asked to looked normal when i wore a bra that i didnt care if they sat at different heights and if my nipples were different when my bra was off.
