Sports bra's after 6 weeks post op ???
Hi ladies, just wondered if anyone can help. When your 6 weeks post op do you still have to wear sports bra's at any time in the day or night time ? I cant remember if anyone told me about this.
Iv brought 3 bra's that i can wear as from next weekend as im 6 weeks post op, so is it bye bye sports bra or not ?
Thanks ladies

I am sure everyones post op orders are different, for me I was told from 6 wks post I could wear what I wanted... I slowly started wearing normal bras as I didnt find them very comfy yet at 6 weeks post, now however I am in normal bras all day and I do still wear my post op bra at night, and when I work out I wear 2 full support sports bras.

Hiya-I think most surgeons have their own instructions post-op+it also depends on what op you had, unders, overs or lift etc- So it might be best to just give your clinic a call to make sure you're doing whats right for you and your new precious boobies 8-)

I'd just give your clinic a call hun. Like Loxxie has just said, all surgeons differ on there post-op instructions, so rather than take a chance and just stop wearing it, it's best to check. xx

Its different for everyone hun so I would give your clinic a ring and ask.
I was aloud mine of at 6 weeks but still worn it at night for extra comfort and support..........but now I go bra-less!
I have also read some girls have to waer the sports bra for upto 3 months post-op , now that I would have struggled with! lol

I agree with all of the above - contact your own clinic/surgeon and request your post-op instructions regarding this.
I know sportsbras when you want get out of them seem ugly and horrible, but MOST tend to come home from work and back into the comfort of the old sporty, wires are nice, but it's only when you start wearing them you start to appreciate just how comfy that sportsba was lol.
You really need to check though hun, I was 12 weeks post-op before I could wear wires and others will have different instructions based on their own healing, to get the best from YOUR post-op recovery, you should really check first. xx
