Rash where Bandage was anyone?
Hay Girls,
I have read about people being allergic to the tape, I felt fine before they took it off now I have a rash that feels a bit itchy in the exact shape of the big white bandage they put on, its sorta raised little bumps.
a bit worried if I get an reaction to the little white strips on the scars also..
If anyone had this what did they do?
I have put some sudocrem on the rash for the moment.
If it gets worse tomorrow I will call them.

I had awful blisters where my tape/bandage was. It was quite sore and ended up scabbing over. I think it was where the bandage and tape was tight with the swelling. I would give them a call. I just left mine, let the air get to it, bathed it gently to keep it clean. It healed up fine. Hope it improves over night for you x

Yeah I am going to hope that the cream helps tonight!
I just got a bra as well but I don't think I will have it on as I want as you say the air to get to them! lol.
I do hope I don't wake with blisters!!
Thanks for the advice! I will be straight on the phone tomorrow if its still bad.

Hey how's the rash doing. I also had an allergy to the tape and I couldn't stand the itching. I had red rashes with little white bumps on them. I got it at 3 weeks so I just stopped using the tape at that time. I took benadryl to help with the allergy and used hydrocortisone for the itching. Hope it clears up for you soon because I know how uncomfortable it must be for you

How is the rash? Did you get back to your nurse?

yyup - gently keeping it clean - letting it get air - and hydrocortisone cream and ice packs if it is bad.
they watched mine for a week and today they gave me prednisone cause it lasted more than a week even though i did all those other things. :> i still had the glue on so today they peeled off all the glue and already it feels better. good luck, i felt like a b#tchy tomato all week @@

Hey huni...
I had awful rash.... Its was like little red/white spots everywhere where the tape was!
In all honesty I actually still have a few of them but I think its prob where I'm also over moisturizing to avoid stretchmarks.
I know it sounds weird but fresh air takes the redness out of my rash! So get urself out in the garden and get some air and sun to it! (Not the boobies though)
If it does bother u though hun I'd give ya clinic a call xxxx

Re: Rash where Bandage was anyone?
Thanks guys,
Its feeling better since washing and gone down now! I don't really know what's happening under the tape at the moment - it does itch but not sure if this is healing or a rash - I am going to have them changed Saturday so will see then, been putting some of those breast cooler things on them also.
My boobs look like a frogs throat! lol..... ahhhhh I pray that they drop down soon, or even out what ever they need to do lol. They must have to look worse before they get better!

Glad your feeling better hun. They will settle and drop down soon, they change so much from week to week so take a pic each week to look back at the changes as sometimes you don't notice because of looking at them daily.
Good luck with your check on Saturday xx
