Advice - natural looking implants
Basically, I want to know what to go for to make my boob job look as natural as possible, I currently have asymmetrical breasts and I want them to look like they should have done really! So does anyone have any advice to make them look as natural as possible?
Thanks :)
Thanks :)

Re: Advice - natural looking implants
Have you been for any consultations yet Laura? If not then choosing your surgeon is the first thing you need to do, it's best not to just see one surgeon, even if you do feel happy after the first consultation, take your time, see at least 2 surgeons so you can compare the surgery plans given by each surgeon and 'then' choose the one that feels right for you after you done all your research.
Take a look at the column to the right of the forum babe. You'll find the links there really helpful at the start of your boobie journey.
Tell your surgeon the size and look you're hoping for. Taking boobie pics with you of the size you're hoping for will help your surgeon give you as close to what you what as they can. Surgeons work in volume, not cup sizes which is why 'seeing' what you want gives them a better indication of how many CCs might be required from an implant to gain the look you're after.
With asymmetrical boobs it's possible but not alway necessary that you may need different sized implants to help achieve a more even look, but these are things that you need to discuss with a surgeon sweetness. Research the surgeons in your area and take things from there sweetie. xx

Re: Advice - natural looking implants
Hay LauraB Welcome!,
I'd say stick with a suitable size implant for your body if you want to look natural, your surgeon will advise what is best for your frame and will also help you pick teardrop shaped ones or rounds - people do say tear drops give a more natural look but if your not having oversized round implants these also can give a natural slope as the gel will "drop" down anyway into a teardrop look. They will also help you choose unders or overs, if you have not got a lot of breast tissue it could look more natural to go under the muscle.
There are lots of good implants around now a days that give a pretty natural feeling breasts although may be firmer than natural breasts.
As Cookie has suggested when your ready booking a consultation would be the next step as I think its a question only a professional can answer once they have had a look at you- find someone you feel you can trust that listens to you and most of all someone reputable! Maybe go see your GP for a recommendation. Take some photos of the "look" you would like and maybe some of what you don't like! Maybe its just a case of wanting one of the breasts to look near as possible like the other. Take a list of questions also.
I went in thinking I would have teardrop anatomical unders and was advised twice to have round overs - this is what I now have.
There will be so many questions as there is so much choice! Everyone who is pleased with there surgeon or implants will recommend those, So many sizes, shape, profiles (Low, Med, Hight etc...) .... as you can see you really need the help of someone who will be able to judge from your body and your preference to what implants you will need - they may let you choose from a range of sizes that will be suitable.
Also with Asymmetrical breast its best to find a specialist that deals with cases like these (possibly someone who does reconstruction for the NHS) I have / had tubular breasts and went to a main stream company and then a Private one and the level of attention from the private one was far better, they have corrected more aspects of the breasts rather than just shoving in implants.
ahhh Will stop ranting now! ha ha
Good luck hun,
The girls on here are really good so if you have any questions i'm sure they will lend support and try to answer them.

Re: Advice - natural looking implants
I am a 32DD at the moment, but my left is smaller, maybe a C cup or D cup, and I don't want to go too much bigger, but I do want implants in both breasts. I am only petite myself, 5"3' and 9st, so I don't want mahoossive boobies! Just ones that look symmetrical and natural xx

I was told to get unders by alot of people if you dont have too much breast tissuse, and if you do have breats tissuse then you can get overs. Getting unders help you look natural

Re: Advice - natural looking implants
Yeah, I have heard that unders are more natural looking than overs, but I think it will have to be something that I discuss with the surgeon! But being a DD cup I think that breast tissue isn't so much of an issue, still, if they will look more natural then I don't care!
Thanks guys!!

Re: Advice - natural looking implants
with a 32D/DD you'll probably be recommended overs, though obviously a surgeon will be able to judge that best for you.
I asked for a very natural result and was told to hae round overs. I think it's a myth that unders give a more natural end result tbh.
The ladies on here have had a range of sizes and placements and most have achieved a really natural result. It does depend on so many factors.
I think the main thing is to tell your surgeon what look you are after and follow his advice.
Good luck!

Re: Advice - natural looking implants
I think the placement varies for each individual..my friend and I both went to the same sugeon he recomended unders for me for a more natural look and overs for her, so it def depends on breast tissue...I will say though if you can get overs do it cause then you wont damage that pec muscle..I'm still having a hard time with that :( I think it's supposed to be about 6 months for complete recovery.
Your surgeon will know what will look the most natural for you hun :)

Re: Advice - natural looking implants
Hi hun and welcome, I think the girl;s have covered it really, I had quite a lot of breast tissue and had 'overs' so I did achieve the 'natural ' look I was after, thankfully. You need to have a good chat with your surgeon and tell him exactly what you want, it really does depend on the individual hunnie, but your surgeon should be able to get as close as possible to your requirements. Good luck hunnnie and let us know how you get on. xx

Re: Advice - natural looking implants
I also had asymmetry corrected. For me it wasn't about size, just as you said - felt like I wanted what I should have had in the first place.
When my surgeon asked what size I wanted I said 'as small as possible I just want them even'. I've only gone up by about a cup size overall. Right now they don't look natural without a bra but I'm only just over 4 weeks. I think once they are healed and settled they will look more natural. You have to be realistic though - they're never going to sit and move like real boobs. But who cares! No one is going to scrutinise you as much as yourself.
I haven't told anyone about my BA and no one has noticed, so they can't look that fake!

Its not a myth, its true. If a girl with little breast tissuse has over more than likely you will see the implants, Like how round it looks. For a girl who has little breast tissuse its best to have unders because the muscle will give it more of a natural look. Even many doctors suggest that

Re: Advice - natural looking implants
I think we could all agree on the fact that every shape and size can have unders and achieve a natural look (excluding bodybuilders) but not everyone can have overs and achieve a natural look. I believe it's best to have overs if you can to avoid damaging the muscle though :) (given you have enough tissue to cover them)

Re: Advice - natural looking implants
No, that's not quite what I meant. Perhaps I didn't explain myself well.
Obviously if you have been advised to have Unders, due to a lack of breast tissue, then getting overs will not give you a natural result because the implant would be visible.
What I meant was that there seems to be some preconception that all Overs look fake and that a natural result can't be achieved with Overs.
Hope that makes sense xx

Re: Advice - natural looking implants
I think that the profile of the implant makes them more natural or not, I think a moderate or low profile implant tends to be a bit more natuaral looking, and of course choosing a size that suits your body.
As cookie said earlier, bring in lots of pics of what you want and find a ps that makes you feel confident they can give that to you.
Best of luck hun. x
