2 week post op- Normal look Incision
Hi girls.
So I'm 2 weeks post op today.
My left Incision is how I expected it tto look pinky/red with light coloured scabbing (I can only look at them for a minute before I feel sick)
But my right Incision seems to be black! Did anyone elses look like this? I can't touch them or anything as it makes me heave!
I've washed every day since last week and had a clean bra. I'm worried as I won't be able to get to the clinic till next week :-(
Would love ur advice girls xxxxx

Re: 2 week post op- Normal look Incision
I didn't see my scars for the first 3 weeks and i'm really glad I didn't as I don't think I could stand worrying about whether they looked normal or not - I had enough worry about wondering what was going on underneath the dressings! If you are worried telephone the clinic as black doesn't sound quite right, unless it is brusing. Let us know what they say xx

Hey jellytot. Thank u :-)
Have just left a message for the nurse to call me back.
Just worrying as I noticed it yday. And. I started driving sunday so worried I've done myself a mischief! I'm sure its prob just fluff from my bra or dry blood or bruising or something general like that but coz I can't look at them I just freak instead!xxxx

Hi Hun,
I had steri-strips on mine for 3 weeks, so I couildn't see them. But they looked black through the strips - and indeed they are! My surgeon looked at them when he took the strips off and said they were fine. I wouldn't worry - ever see what color blood turns when it dries? Could be bruising too. But do check with your clinic of course. Xxxxx

Mine had black on them, it was just dried blood and came off over time. I would guess that if there was a problem with it they would be sore?
but if you are worried a call to your nurse or ps wont hurt, and it may put your mind at ease.

Sarah I think that's prob what it is. There not sore. Bit tender when my bra rubs on them. But no soreness! But it makes me feel sick to look at them.
The nurse said to go see her today. I'm sure its just dry blood but if she checks them out I don't have to look at them! Haha.
Ill let u know what she says xxxxxx

Re: 2 week post op- Normal look Incision
All been seen girls and she said all completley normal and she's amazed how well I've scarred.
She said coz the left is just scar tissue now that's prob why I panicked that my rights dark. But she said its all completley normal scabbing that's falling off nicely! She then proceeded to poke and scratch the scab. Ewwwwwwww!
Just got to keep moisturising where my skin on 1 patch is sooooooooooooooo sore :-( xxxx
Silly me panicking. But I've never had a major incision so its all very alien to me :-) xxxxx
