Feeling rough
Well its day 2 and i am feeling really rough :pale: .
My right side is very stiff i am finding it really hard to lift my arm up?? My left side is a lot better though. I have to keep taking short breaths and when i do there is sometimes a sharp pain in my right boob, feels a little like heart burn. I was sick this morning  . I hate being sick, so i have stopped taking the pain killers - i am coping ok at the moment with that, i would rather have pain than be sick.
I am really conscious of the fact that all i can do is sit or lie down, the nurse at highgate said i sould try and move around as much as possible so i don't seize up! but i am finding this really hard at the moment. Then i worry about DVT??? so i keep trying to wriggle my feet around - i am wearing the stockings that they gave me.
Is all this normall and when will it stop?? i still havn't seen my boobs yet because its too painfull.

Re: Feeling rough
I know it is not much help when we all say it is normal!! but it is, your body is adjusting to the new implants, g.a. and the meds. It really does get better, and it is worth it!!! your not alone x

Re: Feeling rough
Aaawww bless ya! So know how you feel! I felt rougher than i expected to! I found takin the painkillers 1 every 2 hours instead of 2 every 4 really really helped me (check with your nurse but mine said it was fine) that way i kept on top of the pain and they didnt make me sick, then i stopped takin them about day 4.
I found it really hard moving around, even getting out of a chair! Lol! but hang in there hun, it really does get easier. You'll feel so much better by the end of week 1 :)
Take it easy xxxx

Re: Feeling rough
Thanks scaredycat, its so frustrating trying to suffle myself backwards when i'm sitting down, i can't put any pressure on my arms at all, even picking up water is a really big deal!! can't wait till it all goes away and i can start enjoying them.

Re: Feeling rough
aww, darling ... are you taking paracetamol ... they didn't make me feel sick.
Those first few days were pretty painful for me, but after that things started to improve pretty quickly.
Hope you're feeling better soon.
