Numbness in left arm after BA
I'm sure people have posted about this before, but I can't seem to find anything.
Along the inner part of my left arm, right from the armpit to my little finger I have almost complete numbness. It tingles constantly and although I can move it, it aches alot. Is this normal after a BA? I also have no feeling in my left boob either, and keep getting sharp stabbing burning pains in the top of my left boob. My right side is perfectly normal with very little pain and mobility almost completely normal.
I'm a little concerned that it will be permanent!
Can anyone put my mind at rest?

Hi Becca7x
Where are you incisions? My first BA was done from under my armpit and I had a similar experience, infact it felt to me like a vein had been stitched in. I was advised to use anasol (not sure if that's how you spell it) which reduces inflamation and for me this worked, but obviously you need to speak to a professional. Don't panic hun I'm sure it will sort itself and remember our bodies are amazing at healing xxx :console:

I went to the doctor and she said it's such early days, I need to wait it out for at least another 3 weeks and then go back to her if there's still reduced feeling in my arm.
Becca, I'm sorry you have it too, but it's nice to know I'm not the only one with a messed up arm :-( Hope yours feels better soon xxx

Good to hear you've sought advice from your clinic flowergirl and they have given you some reassurance
It is common to have the sensations you're experiences hun and over time they do get better, just give it time sweetness and be sure not to overdo things and congrats on the new additions hunni!.

What your describing sounds completely normal, i had it all too! My arm would go numb and/or tingly along with my fingers, stabbing pains evey now and again..... give it time and try not to freak out! Obviously if it doesnt get better then seek further advice but I'd say just stick with it if it isnt causing u any major trouble xx

Thats good to hear hun. Remember to still take things easy though, even though the pain might go, you're still healing inside so be gentle with yourself - happy healing!
