Im a newbie (hello)......looking for some info....
Hello ladies....
Just looking for a little bit of information.
I have extremely small boobs, always have done. In 2002, I was referred by my GP to the hospital where this lady checked my boobs (told me they were equal in size) which I knew...etc etc but in the end refused me. Knocked me for 6.
I then went on to have my first child in 2003, followed by my 2nd in 2007. I never breastfeed either of my girls as even through pregnancy, my boobs werent much affected.
I went back to my GP last year and gave all the same story, how it affects me etc....and I wanted to try again, this is where she told me i was rejected because at that point I was underweight, I had no idea. Anyway she completly understood me, referred me again and I am due in hospital on the 24th of this month. My appointment is at psychiatry, can anyone let me know what happens at this point as I am not sure.
Any info would be much appreciated
Miss H xx

Hiya Miss H,
So sorry to here about your journey, thats shocking they never informed you right in the first place.
Anyway i dont know where you are based (i am in scotland) but my psychiatry appointment was pretty straight forward. The woman was lovely, she had a student in with her to. She asked me how long i had issues with my boobs, how it made me feel on a daily basis, and what i expected to feel after it. I explained that yes i would feel better, my sex life would improve but i would be able to take my kids swimming. I wanted the confidence to take them swimming more than anything in the world.
She just said that i was emotionally fit for surgery and that was it.
Hope it all goes well. xx

Re: Im a newbie (hello)......looking for some info....
hi sars, thank you very much for getting back to me.
Awww im glad it goes ok and yeh im the exact same, to be able to take my girls swimming would just be such an achievement. Im just wary that she takes 1 look at me and says no :(
I suppose the fact I am back attempting again may go in my favour.
Is going to the psychiatry and not a surgeon first or that a good thing, does this mean I may be closer thank I think to possibly getting boobs (aww the thought just makes me smile, lol).
Im in Scotland, due at St Johns on the 24th.xxx
