im 4 weeks post uplift op on tuesday and everything has been going smoothly but then last night i noticed when feeling along my scar that on my right boob on the scar that goes along underneath your boob it feels like lumpy almost like theres a small boil or spot underneath the skin? dunno if its just where the surgeon has tied the skin and stitches and so its got a little skin noddule or something lol it looks abit water blistery but isnt res or anything but it is slighlty sore to the touch? dunno if i should ring my plastics nurse but dont want to annoy her as am a right worryer and phones her when i was 2 weeks post op as worrying about my scars but they were fine in the end lol? what do u reckon, could it be the start of an infected stitch and will it go away by itself?

Hi hunnie, this sounds very much like one of the dissolvable stitches hasn't dissolved and is trying to break through the skin. I would phone the nurse as she should be able to free it and remove it for you - and hey. you won't be 'troubling' her, you have paid for this attention already with part of your BA money.

As it's Sunday already, you only have a day to wait and as she will have more experience with this type of thing, I think you would be fine waiting until tomorrow sweetheart. Don't worry though, it is a fairly common thing to happen and some people just wait until it works its own sweet way out of your skin - so nothing to panic about.

Hi hunni, I had a similar thing happen to me after my uplift, it was just a stitch. I was also (still am) a worrier, and felt a nuisance keep ringing the nurse, but they were fine and when I went in to see her, she said it's much better to get things checked out, than to be worrying. That's what you pay all that money for. Take care hun. xxx
