how long until regular bras?

Hi girls! Was just wondering how long it was until you could go shopping and purchase ur first bra? I still have the tape on with the tight ugly granny bra strapping them to my chest. Lol I get the tape off Wednesday. But I have to admit I was so excited to get. Bra for my boobs that I bought 3 tonight and who knows if they will even fit. Lol good thing they can be exchanged if need be. Lol thanks for the help Stars

do you mean wired?
usually around 6 weeks, providing everything has healed how it should. Sometimes a bit longer.

For non wired, i guess thats more up to you,as long as its supportive enough

My surgeon also said 6 weeks (though I am having a lift as well). He said absolutely no underwire bras under any circumstances for the first 6 weeks as the underwire may rub on the scars causing problems. I have to wear a surgical bra day and night for 4 weeks and then just during the day for another two weeks after that.

Hi there,
Its best to go with what your surgeon says, mine said to wait 2-3 months before wearing a normal wired bra. After my first op i was desperate to wear normal bras but with my second i could have gone a year in sports bras, funny how things change. xx

im wearing normal bras now .and sports bra at nights but the last two night i didnt wear any bra to bed. My surgeon said it was fine i also sleep on my front lol x

I am just sooo excited girls!! lol. I cant keep from smiling everytime i look in the mirror. lol I am going to have all my bandaged removed on wednesday,I havent even gotten to see them at all yet.

Im still not able to wear normal bras, doctors orders :(

I went bra shopping last night as I couldnt take it anymore n had urges & I didnt find 1 bra that fit me properly. Its left me very pooped.

My natural breast tissue hasnt dropped properly. I still have a bulges under my nipple where tissue turns to implant if that makes sense?

& where my crease is on 1 boob I have a bulge that I thought was bottoming out but its still settling apparently.

Told me not to wear normal bras until it does.

It was 6 weeks before I got the go ahead from my PS, I just wouldn't have been comfortable in an underwired before then anyway....xx

i've been told i'm not allowed to wear an underwire bra for 6 months, its going to be sooo long! i have to wear a sports bra day and night for 4 to 6 week. i'm allowed to take it off for an hour a day. Then after that i'm allowed to wear a non wire bra until the surgeon gives me the go ahead for underwire bras. hopefully it will be before the 6 months but you never no. xx

i just done it from 10 days now ...so i think still i have to waite for more time ...although we had party last night and i had to wear dress we i open th support bra ...i fellt that my boobes will go down >>>>???

Yea.. One of them isnt right.. Seems I have to wait 6 months before they will entertain the idea that something is wrong & its not just settling.

I had to wait 6 weeks, but I would check with your surgeon how long he wants you to wear the support bra. It does feel like they are falling off when you take off the bra doesn't it.
