if its uncomfortable, id say youre probably not wearing the right size.
As a general rule, most surgeons say around 6 weeks to wear normal wired bras.

I agree if the sports bra you are wearing is uncomfortable then you should probably try a bigger size or go get measured (for another sports bra) the norm is 6 weeks before you can go for normal bras and you will probably find you have to get used to them as they can be a bit uncomfy at first (underwired).

I brought 38DD but they feel like their really squashing me. Pre op i was a 36/38B and had 385+345 cc to even me up. I ll try a bigger cup size. i ve found this site really helpful while viewing it as a guest so thought i"d join. Thanks girls.

Hi hun, ,did your surgeon not tell you when you can start wearing normal bras? My surgeon said one month but to be honest my boobs didn't feel ready so I carried on wearing a soft bra for a couple of weeks longer.

I was told 6 weeks but you should check with your ps to be sure. And definately try another sports bra, although I dislike mine due to the fact that it doesnt look nice or accomodate nice tops, it is very comfy and I will probably continue to wear it at night once I am in a normal bra.
