Hi, I'm nearly 3 months post ba and uplift and I'm still getting the same problem! My stitches aren't dissolving so they are now working their way up and out through my skin! Annoying but not unusual. Apparently they can take up to 6 months to totally go. X

Hiya girls, on Sunday I felt what I thought was a scab and me and scabs don't mix I have to pick them......disgusting I know.....anyway I pulled it and it wasn't a scab it was my stitches and when I realized it was about an inch out!! I rang my clinic and went din and they just cut it of as close to the skin as possible and told me to leave alone!!!

Like anewmwtobe said I got told it will be 3-6 months before they devolve!!! PainInTheBum.Com!!

Who's a naughty girlie then :heehee:
I must admit, I don't seem to have had this problem - I had unders though. So is it something which is more prevalent with overs?? Or is it just a lot slower to happen with unders and I have this 'treat' lying in store for me??

I've heard about those horrible little suckers!!! Apparently they are quite common and can take some time to weadle themselves out. Thankfully, I didn't have any problems but I feel for all of you that did, I'm really quite squeamish with stuff like that - ZzzI I probably would have fainted if that had happened to me..... sick

I keep getting spots along my scars which are stitches still there and not dissolving, but nothings come out yet. I just try and leave it alone and hope for the best! But probably the best thing to do would be see a Dr or nurse. xx

I've got about 4 on one side trying to poke through the skin. It's not very comfortable and I just wish the little blighters would get a move on.

I had one push out. I left it alone for a couple of days, just covered with steristrips, and it came out on its own. When I spoke to surgeon he said its very common and although they are meant to dissolve within 6 weeks, they have been found up to 2 years later. Ewwww

Oh this is terrifying me....are they internal stitches? My first ever op was done under my armpit and I don't remember any internal stitches.

I'm with Angbaby and would pass out if things started to protrude from my body (obviously I don't mind my boobs protruding Hysterical )
