Argh! Need help please!
So my pre BA dilemma continues.
Ps secretary has contacted me today in response to my questions about whether I'd be healed enough to enjoy my holiday at the end of March if I had my surgery before the holiday.
He says he can operate on the 6th March, which leaves me 21 days to recover enough to be able to bike and go swimming (holiday is Centerparcs). He says I'll be recovered enough.
What do you think?
How were you at 3 weeks post-op?
I need to let her know tomorrow if I want to go ahead so she can book a clinic and surgery space for me....eek!

Re: Argh! Need help please!
Well hun, 3 weeks is a little early for that type of physical activity I think, but that's just going off my experience so I don't want to put a dampener on your hols. I was still quite uncomfortable then, not in pain but still VERY aware that they were there, if you know what I mean?
I think in general your advised not to start exercise until 6 weeks post-op but I suppose it really depends on the individual. I would certainly consider taking it as easy as you can if you do go to Centreparcs hunnie .....I'm sure you'll still enjoy yourself. xx

Re: Argh! Need help please!
Well, I was back in the gym at 4 weeks hunnie - did a bit on the bicycle and treadmill (about 5 mins on bike and 20 mins on treadmill) and then went for a swim afterwards. I found swimming to be the hardest as I would get a sensation like a pulled muscle in my chest (I had unders).
Providing you heal fast and then don't over-exert yourself you might be OK at three weeks, but you would be pushing the envelope a bit I feel.

Re: Argh! Need help please!
i wouldnt take my chances, i know the thought of having them for vaca is nice, but you need to put your health first, and if you arent healed very fast then youll feel like you wasted your vacation. Enjoy you vaca and time with family so you can do everything without question.... and then do your BA when you arent trying to speed yourself into recovery.
best of luck... xoxoxo

Everyone is different so its hard to say, but I felt well enough to have a holiday at 3 weeks post, I wouldnt over due it on the activity side of things, but a relaxing holiday would be fine.

Re: Argh! Need help please!
Thanks so much ladies or all of your advice
I have emailed the secretary and advised I will wait until after my holiday.
I just couldn't forgive myself if the children's enjoyment was compromised in any way because I was feeling fragile.
What's another month when I've waited years, eh?
Thanks again x

Re: Argh! Need help please!
Hi,
I went to CP about 4 wks PO and couldn't do anything :dunno:
The swimming felt wrong as the implants felt weird under the water - floating like And the rapids - kind of squished my boobies and pulled them around as they are quite forceful - too uncomfortable. I played table tennis!! And enjoyed the wine!! Oh and I did bike - lots!
OH and kiddies did all the tree climbing, zip wire etc while I stood filming - doh!
You've done the right thing - definately! xxxx
