first timer questions :)
Hi everyone! i happened across this forum whilst searching for information and thought why not just join? so as im new here i was looking to seek some advice from some others
unfortunately i do not have any close aquaintences who have had breast augementation
im currently booked for my first op in early march and am a bit nervous
i met with my surgeon today and he recommended 280 cc ABOVE MUSCLE....
see this is where my trepidation starts as i always expected myself to have under the muscle
as im looking for the most natural look
im in my early 20's and a 32/34B and not sure if this is contributing factor to why he recommended the above muscle option
what are the opinions of all of you guys? has anyone else had a similar implant size or above the muscle?
thanks so much and so excited otherwise! x

I think it depends on what size and look you what to achieve. I mean do you just want to go up a size or two or do you want a big difference? Look at pictures to get an idea of what you want and what you don't want and show your PS.
Also it maybe be an idea to have a few consultations to see what other surgeons suggest. x

Re: first timer questions :)
Your not wasting anyones time hun.
Its just really good to have a clear idea of what you want as some surgeons will railroad you into having something that you may not want or may not be right for you.
Remember you are spending alot of money on this. x

Re: first timer questions :)
Hi hun, I started out a 32A and had 410cc over the muscle implants, I thought I'd have to have unders but had enough breast tissue for overs even with just an A cup. I would think that's quite a modest implant if you wanted more than a couple of sizes increase.
Welcome to the forum by the way, and ask as many questions as you want.

Hi and welcome to the forum. I started off as 34b had 420 overs and I too thought I would need unders.

Re: first timer questions :)
thanks girlies!
all such lovely pictures btw, making me think i definitley would like to be a bit bigger than 280cc... but feeling better about the idea of overs; i guess sometimes you just get this preconception in your head?
less than a month now till the operation, and i really wish to have larger than 280cc, but my O.H. has reservations...
but then again i am doing it for my own confidence and all your pictures epitomize the best case scenario for me
thanks again! and looking forward to keeping you all updated with my choice and helping others on here as much as i can

Hi hunnie and welcome to the forum.
I started out an A/B cup and my surgeon recommended unders for me due to a lack of both skin and breast tissue. I asked him for the larest he could give me which were 420cc Natrelles and this has enabled me to go up to a DD/E cup. They look fab naked, but strangely don't appear to be bid at all in clothing
xx

Re: first timer questions :)
HI hun. I went into my consultation thinking I'd have under the muscle, for the most natural look, and also anatomicals, but my surgeon recommended round over the muscle and I think my boobs look pretty natural. The biggest factor in whether you go over/under the muscle is how much breast tissue you have. If you don't have enough to cover the implant, then under the muscle is the best option for a natural look, and your surgeon will be able to advise on that after the 'pinch test'. Take some pictures to your surgeon to show him the look you want to achieve.
What I would say is to make sure you go for the look and size you want, not your OH, you're doing this for you and don't want to go through your BA and not be happy because you've done what someone else wants.
