PIP'S help? Empty PIP'S help?

Post by princess-natalie 2nd February 2011, 11:05 am

hi all, i had BA in 2005 and i have the pip implants. i am wondering where do i go from here? i spoke to my old company cosmedical rodney street who told me if i have no pain i am fine the implants are fine? do i need them out? do i have to pay again? am i entitled to some kind compensation?

i was looking into getting new implants last year as i wanted to go bigger anyway as mine are now a little deflated. i got a 390-410 i think and dr kahn at transform advised me on a 650 if i am to notice any difference? does any1 have any idea of this size? i am 5'7.5 and 9st.
thanx girlies thank you

PIP'S help? Empty Re: PIP'S help?

Post by Vix 12th February 2011, 12:25 pm

Hi there,

Sorry you have PIPs, hopefully i can help a little.

I dont know much about sizes so someone else might be able to help, but i have a feeling the best way to decide is to see a few surgeons and see what they say.

With regard to your PIPs, i would advise going to another couple of surgeons to have them checked and perhaps have an ultrasound or MRI, not everyone has experienced probelms and as yet we are still awaiting some test results regarding the safety of the implants but at the moment it seems that they are not toxic (please see MHRA reports on sticky).

I had a silent rupture so it was not obvious there was a problem, i had no pain, just a little sagging which became more noticable over time. So maybe just get checked out just to be sure and see what different surgeons advise.

Also you could ask the new surgeon on here who is helping with PIP problems, he will probably have a more detailed response for you. Best of luck xx
