Nipples post-uplift
So I'm planning an uplift and BA for later this year; it's going to have to be a full uplift with anchor incision if they're not going to be round my ankles any more...
Here's my question: what are the chances of losing nipple sensitivity? Maybe this is too much information but I have really sensitive nipples now and I don't want that to change. Neither does my playmate, if you see what I mean :heehee:

Theres a good chance you will lose some sensitivity I think. Theres always some trade offs somewhere with surgery

Hiya
I had an uplift and at fist they were numb, then became over sensitive and now 4 months down the line they are back to normal. I was very lucky and havent lost any sensitivity at all, though it is one of the things they warn you about. My ps said i may lose some but it is unusual to lose all though can happen. Ive stayed the same.

Re: Nipples post-uplift
I'm still in the early stages of everything recovering but I did lose all sensation there early on. Then came the shooting pains around 2 weeks after which lasted a week to a fortnight, but still don't get any of the "Oh, la la Mmmmmmmm!!!!" feeling - but if I go braless, any clothing rubs and just irritates and they end up slightly sore - none of the sensation which I had before
However, it is still early days for me and when I asked James about this, he said it could a year for sensation like I had before to return. So I just have to be patient I guess.

A year?! I could live with four months, I guess...
Thanks girls. As Abbie says, there's always a trade off. Anything's better than snooker balls in socks.

Re: Nipples post-uplift
thats really good to hear actually, it sounds much the same as a normal BA. I lost sensitivity at first, then it came back stronger (not always a good thing)
im having an uplift in a couple of weeks and just assumed id lose sensitivity

Re: Nipples post-uplift
I too lost all feeling in the beginning and it slowly has been coming back. Just recently at almost 4 months post op I have been getting these tingling "sort of" pains and my nipples seem to be more sensitive again. So it seems to be getting even better even at this point! As Abbie has said its a trade off for lovely boobs! xx
