trying implants at consultations
Hi girls,
I have my first consultation this Saturday and have a quick question i hope someone will be able to answer for me:
when the ps gives me implants to try at the consultation, do i put them into my normal bra? i can't envisage how they would fit (i want to go 3 maybe 4 cup sizes bigger) and give an accurate impression of the end shape and size.
I've not looked into the various sizes of implants, I only know i want to be a d or dd after the BA and will let the surgeon decide what cc i'll need. In your opinions, is this OK or should i go to the consultation armed with knowledge of which cc i might want?
thanks girls.x

No, the PS will definitely be able to tell you what cc they think should get you to the size you want to be (although it's better to show him pics of the sort of size you want rather than saying a specific cup size!)
I didn't think to take a sports bra to try my implants on, but I would imagine this would be the best way of doing it if you have one? For my rice boobies I just used my 34c nursing bra, which fit 360cc rice boobs in easily... as long as the material is stretchy and not like a t-shirt bra you should be fine!!
Hope this helps a bit

I would probably pop to asda and get one of their cheap D cup sports bras just in case, they are quite stretchy so even if you try really big implants the bra will stretch. I know when I went for my consult the surgeon said he usually has bras there but had lost them, So I just tried mine by holding them on my chest like chicken fillets. I must have looked quite upset with how small the first lot looked as he kept giving me bigger implants. I'm not sure if I'd have liked to use their bras as I dont know whos worn them before me.
Re: trying implants at consultations
Hi - how exciting - congratulations on taking your first steps.
When I had my first consultation I was in my gel padded bra so the implants looked awful, didn't fit & I was shocked how huge they were too.
I went back after the nurse had advised me to buy a cheap sports bra in the sizes I was thinking of. I got a 34C & 34D from Primark (plus 32 C&D from ASDA as Primark don't do 32s) - about £4 each, & tried on the implants in the bra at the consultation. Also wear a tight white tshirt to the consultation so you put the implants in the bra & put the tshirt on to get a good idea of what you will look like/want to look like.
Bear in mind that all the girls boobies on here look much smaller with clothes on that in the flesh, so make sure you try your tshirt/top on with them & agree the size with your clothes on, rather than just in your bra - as you will more than likely be disappointed with size once you put your clothes on. Your surgeon will take you through sizes/shape/projection - don't worry about that - just give him an idea of end size & shape you want. Also a good idea to print off some pics before/afters to show they kind of look you want. Google before & after BA images - loads on the web - als [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] (I think) is mentor's site with lots of useful info & pics (even if you don't end up having their implants)
I'm 10 days post op - my sister saw me for the first time out of the strapping last night wiht my sports bra on. In a tshirt she thought they were a good size, but not as big as she thought they'd be. When I stripped down she said Wow - they're much bigger naked than she would have thought.
Have a wonderful time choosing & enjoy your journey - it's fantastic!!

Re: trying implants at consultations
Thanks for that tip girls - about taking a sports bra to consultation. I don't have any so when I saw Mr Frati last weekend I wore my least padded balconnette bra which has about the same padding as a t shirt bra.
Will remember to take a sports bra and a t shirt to my second consult with him, and to Transform on 31st, and any others I may go on.

Re: trying implants at consultations
My PS gave me two very tight sports bras / crop top things to wear one over the other. He made me look in the mirror front on but also my body profile - what yr boobs and butt look like. He told me to put 1 hand between my boobs (sort of like praying position) so you can see what size they really r not just the big uni-boob from the crop top.
Have fun xx
