Q about trying on implants at consultations..
I've got 2 consults booked, and I'm seeing a PCC and then the surgeon straight after for both of them, and I'm sure they said I get to try on some implants for size.
So my question is, do they give you a bra to try them with? Or are you supposed to put them in your own bra? cos all my bras are padded/ push-up so I don't think I could fit anything else in it!

You can take your own bra if you like, and some clinics actually give you a sports bra type thing to wear to try the implants on.
I just put them in my bra though as it's only a rough indication of size.

When I tried implants on they gave me a bra to try them on with. It think it all depends on the clinic though. xx

they gave me a bra to try them on with. Its worth taking a close fitting top with you too so you can see what the implant looks like under clothes

I'm seeing my surgeon next week and they are going to give me a bra. I'm also taking a tight fitting top. I'm actually taking my ideal outfit to try the sizes aas in my head i have the look and size and not sure i can get this across verbally.

Re: Q about trying on implants at consultations..
I would say it's best to take your own. The clinics don't always have the size that would be best for you eg, if you are a 32 band and want a D cup then it would be useless for you if all they had was a 38E and you wanted to see which implant would fit your 32D. You could always pick up a cheap bra in the size you would like to be, leave the tags on if you wanted to take it back to the shop afterwards? Places like tesco/asda do sports bra's for £3-4, it may be worth taking one of those with you?

I tried them with their sports bra type thing but the PS also told me to bring some tops to put on over the bra to see how they look with clothes on, that really helped.

I didn't realise you would get to do this, guess though it definitely gives you the right idea of what size they will be.
Did you ask to see the surgeon straight after your consultation? I have to travel and would prefer to do it all in one go.

Here in OZ we don't see nurses or consultants it's the PS from start to finish including dressing changes. So luckily I could get size and everything sorted in one day.
