How long between consultations and surgery?
Hi, i'm a newbie and am hoping to book a few consultations very soon. Does anyone know the average time between deciding which surgeon you want, booking the op and actually having the op?
I hate waiting for anything and now that I've decided to have an enlargement, I want it done asap after choosing my surgeon!

Re: How long between consultations and surgery?
It really does depend on you. I'll have had to wait about 5 months but this was because I couldn't afford to have it sooner. Some people only have to wait a few weeks. I don't know what the average waiting time is. Mine was exceptionally long. But I was offered a three week waiting time at first.

There's no right or wrong time hunni, as long as you've done all your research and you're happy with your surgeon etc, then you book when you're ready. I started researching in the August, booked in the October and had my op in the December. xx

Re: How long between consultations and surgery?
thanks girls, i guess i'll have to wait and see what i think of the surgeons i see. If i'm happy with one of them then there's no need to wait i suppose - i want to have healed etc in time for a summer holiday!

Re: How long between consultations and surgery?
Mine was three weeks between my consultation with the surgeon I chose and the operation - although I would have been quite prepared to go in the next day if it had been offered to me , but unfortunately, 3 weeks was the next available time slot.

Re: How long between consultations and surgery?
I know! I am excited and a little anxious. Worried I was being too impulsive by taking the earliest appointment. So I need to get my bras and pillow but I figure I have Saturday to do this. got my arnica tablets yesterday so started taking those already.
I'm going with Mr Melagros at Transform, they operate on Saturdays/Sunday and had availability for January as it seems generally it's a quiet month. Have you had any consultations yet? xx

You will also need some button up pj's hun as you will not be able to put your arms above your head for a couple of days - and some clothing which buttons/zips up at the front for the same reason.

Re: How long between consultations and surgery?
wonderwoman - good luck for sunday - hope you can keep in the excitement under control!
I have booked two consultations, one for Peter Chapman through Mybreast in Kent for feb 9th and the other for Mr Khandwala at BMI kent for 3rd Feb. Can't wait to get the ball rolling. Hopefully the one I choose will be able to fit me in quickly, half term week for kids would be good.
Can't wait to hear your ba story.xx

Re: How long between consultations and surgery?
I had first consultantions in feb and then I decided to book in the June and had op in Aug. I was meant to wait until the Oct but was then told couldn't have Oct off. Was told I needed re-op in Nov but couldn't have this before Feb...I'd booked in for 2 Feb. Then had to change to april cos of work! x

Re: How long between consultations and surgery?
I started researching in Aug, consultations in Sep thru to Nov and booked for Jan - I felt that this was quick enough for me, but everyone's different! I'd say that the time is not as important as being completely happy with your choice of surgeon. Good luck xx
