Can new partners feel implants? Empty Can new partners feel implants?

Post by hoojiehayley 9th January 2011, 12:48 pm

Hey girls as some of you know me and my boyfriend not long split up and don't really plan on having one for a while. My op's in just over two weeks and I'm sure if I have a boyfriend in the future, if they ask, I will tell them, but will they be able to feel the implant and know what it is, like 6 months down the line, when I've healed??

I've seen posts off girls saying they can feel theirs a bit. If someone copped a feel of my boob, haha, would they know I had implants? xxxxxxxxx I'm having overs too xx

When I'm upright mine feel natural, hubby says so too. It's a different matter when I'm lying down though, they are noticably fake. I have overs. xx

yeh i can feel mine easily and so can my husband. I didnt have much breast tissue to start with and had unders. I suppose if you had alot of natural breast tissue beforehand it might not be so easy to feel.

Yes they can feel it, not loads, it still feels like a normal boob if they have a light squeeze, but if they squeeze quite firmly they can tell, but none seem to dislike the feel. They seem to want to carry on squeezeing lol

I have found the men I have been out with have known just by looking at them :-( but they love them. I did have quite big implants though, maybe that makes a difference?

I think it depends. I had quite small implants, partial unders about 18 months ago. I met my new bf about 6 months after the op and didn't tell him I had implants and he still doesn't know (or at least isn't saying anything!!). He has said they feel 'nice and firm', but that's about it. I find it a bit odd actually because when I'm lying down I definitely think they feel fake but he doesn't seem to either notice or mind!

Yeah I know it'll be so much better, I just feel a little bit grossed out with how they're gonna feel. It's hard to explain cos I've never felt one before!! Can you feel your own soft breast tissue like on top and then with a harder prod the implant? What does it feel like? x

i think this really depends on what you had to start with and how big your implants are. I had a small amount of breast tissue before my op and had 295cc partial unders. I can feel the implants round the bottom where it is not covered by the muscle and my OH said he would be able to tell by feeling had he not known but not by looking at them.

Before my op I was terrified they would feel weird and was totally freaked out by it. When I'd just had them done I was too scared to touch them for ages as I was scared they would feel weird. They do feel like yours after a few weeks and like you've never been without them, they wont gross you out, you can't feel them, they just feel part of you, they feel nice to squeeze, not weird (men cant leave them alone). For the first few days they feel like when you have chicken fillets in your bra and they stick to you when you take your bra off and then fall off lol but obviously your new boobs dont fall off.

Haha, I went out clubbing and was dancing with the hottest guy and then realised one of my fillets had somehow flipped out of my top and was resting on his shoulder!!! I made a hasty retreat, and was so embarrassed I had to leave without my fillet!! Oh the shame!!

I'm sure the pros far outweigh the cons. I'm just over two weeks away from my op and keep thinking about really random questions, scaring myself!!!!

This was a big big concern of mine pre-op. I was much more concerned about how they were going to feel rather than how they would look. I knew for a fact they were going to look 100% better than my original tiny teabag boobs!! I would say that, for me, the implant feels a bit like my (not well developed!) calf muscle. So if I go looking for it I can find the edge, but generally speaking if I just massage my calf then it feels like one whole natrual integrated part of my body. Don't know if that makes any sense!

I just snorted and lolled a bit at the fillet-on-shoulder story XD you know magician's hats? My bras are normally like that... thankfully my guy knows this and we normally just have a laugh about it Hysterical

I just felt up my calf a bit... it's pretty prominent in my case, when I feel it anyway. I've got quite a solid muscle if I tense it a little, and it I relax it's like it's not there at all. Either way I've got a layer of fat over the top so it really is like feeling the soft tissue then squeezing harder and feeling the 'implant.' Don't know if everyone else's calves are like that lol but does that sound right? I was wondering about how they'd feel too, I mean when you get silicone bra inserts they feel really squishy and amazing haha I want my boobs to feel like that! It would be annoying if you could feel the edge though =\

Yeah, I read somewhere else about them feeling similar to calf muscles and, for me anyway, that comparison does make sense. So it's like there is definitely "something in there" - and it's firmer than the surrounding tissue - but it's not an unnatural or unpleasant sensation. Definitely not like a tennis ball or a 'rock in a sock' like you read in the newspapers! But it's not squishy and totally unnoticeable either ...

But like the others say, it's going depend hugely on your existing breast tissue and how the surgeon places the implant. Lots of individual differences in this game!

You know what's weird? My boobs feel like you're describing anyway =S I always thought that was weird about my boobs, like I can feel my glands or something!?

I also just had a feel and realised I can actually sort of get my fingers under it and move it around... definitely like there's something in there. I'd be worried it's a tumour or something but they've always had that weird feel to them and it's the same on both sides. How odd :dunno:

Well the last person i had sex with was a doctor and he had absolutley no idea i had implants. However.. once i told him i had them he then became obsessed and made me do all sorts of weird things with my arms so that he could have a proper poke around and feel before announcing he'd just given me a 'breast exam' and could feel the edge of them at the bottom. But i had my arms up over my head and everything. It was hilarious! Bless him he was fascinated hahah!x
