Re: April Buddies!
Yes Peachy its defo more irritating than painful or anything else its just mad that its only one boob. I realize they heal at different rates and to think of them as separate operations and all that but they have been like this since day one righty has been the most uncomfy one etc etc xxx How are you doing today anyway lovely xxxxxxxxxx

I actually still have this huni.... If I have a manic few days my righty aches when I lay on my left side... But my left is fine!
My nurse said I obviously use my right arm more and I need to even my arm use out a bit. Which makes sense as I'm right handed xxxxxx

Re: April Buddies!
Hi ladies. Im 3 days post op now, time is flying by! Im finding it a nightmare to sleep upright and am so tired during the day. My left is the one which hurts most. My incision burns! My children have been good but my 2 year old is not enjoying having daddy doing the things that mummy normally does for him. My 11 month old is missing out a bit too cos I cant pick him up. I did yesterday and didnt feel good afterwards so id better not do that again!
Anyway, just wanted to check in and see how you're all doing. Good luck to anyone going in the next few days and happy healing to anyone ive missed! xx

Gabby mine went up and down like a yoyo the first few weeks lol. When I ent into proper bras I'd find that they fit in the morning and at the end of the day were popping out to say hello.
Butterfly I'm ok hun just feeling very sorry for myself at the moment. Swollen and bruised but hey I knew what was coming so just need to get on with it. I'm just waiting to fall in love with them with my 310's it was immediate with these mutants I reckon I'm going to have to learn to love them lol xx

Re: April Buddies!
Ah you didn't say they'd been getting jiggy. Make sure them new babies are being supported hun lol.
Lets just say I'm hopeful that they will be a bit smaller when the swelling goes down. I seem to be very swollen so its hard to tell whats going to be staying and what will subside at the moment. I will put some pics up when I muster the energy xx

Re: April Buddies!
Yes Butterfly :) couldn't have asked for a better service from Spire, very quick and attentive.. Had drains removed this morning, looked a bit icky better out than in I guess! How did your follow up appointment go??
I'm looking forward to them settling and feeling like my own!
my right side is quite sore :( and a little more swollen than the left but hopefully will settle down!

Re: April Buddies!
My right is still the most uncomfy has been from day 1. If you are right handed that could be the reason, I am right handed and I know I was using my right hand to pull table etc right after the op....
Follow up went well thank you hun, had all my plasters removed, and Mr Liew gave me few steri strips but only 3 changes and I go back in 3 weeks.
Mr Liew also said that I shouldn't loose anymore size now, told him "I bloody hope not" lol bit rude I know but only in a DD so happy with the size that I know I would be disappointed if I did loose more size now xxxxxx

Re: April Buddies!
I'm back at home now. Completely fine. I reacted to all the meds they gave me so in the end I stopped taking my pain relief and it's gettig a bit sore so I gad a couple of paracetamol about an hour ago. On the morphine and tramadol and diazepam I was sick and fainty so I said I'd rather be with it and be able to walk and move without collapsing so I just stopped and I'm now on paracetamol and ibuprofen. Feeling much better. Was in a 36DD now a 38 because it's swelling a bit. All the nurses who checked remarked on what a fab job he did and were suprised how good they looked and how little swelling and brusing there was. One side was incredibly painful and I usually have a high pain threshold but I did admit to being in pain and found myself crying when they removed my left drain. Because I'd been sick I had effectively no pain relief and my left drain was really sore since I woke up. They said the skin had healed around the tube and it was in quite a lot further than the right due to having to cut more muscle on that side to make the pocket. I can move my arms fine now, even my left one although it is rather sore. I'm finding it hard to remember to keep my arms down. I only needed help to the loo the first time I went in hospital because of the drains. Only one nightmare came true and that was being sick. I didn't get catheterised so in my book that's a biiiiiiiig bonus! It's quite difficult moving around and getting comfy due to the fact I had another procedure at the same time and have had jabs into my tummy cos of something with my blood so I'm numb practically from the knees to the shoulders :P
It's not as bad as I was anticipating. When the drain was in the left side I though what have I done and can't they just rip em back out but once they'd removed it and I'd had some painkillers (I'd refused them for about 7 hours before that cos of the side effects and it wasn't too bad then) I soon picked up. I don't have any before photos but Im gonna take some to document my week by week progress. I'll let you know when I put them up in case anyone wants to see :)
I had 450cc unders in the end too. He offered 400.450 and 500 so I went for the middle one. He said that would give the best result for me so I just put myself in their hands. It's really not as bad as I anticipated :) xx
