Re: April Buddies!
hi everyone
i received a phone call from the hospital today and they have cancelled my BA on the 13th april because the surgeon will be out of the uk because of unforeseen circumstances and they couldn't do it now until the 11 th may then i recieved another phone call 2 hours later and he can't do the 11th may now so its got to be the 18th may, i am gutted i have got so much longer to wait now. i just hope he doesn't cancel again nearer to the time
xx

Aww shellyj hope you are not too disapointed hun, its out of your hands..... at least you have more time to prepare now and time will fly past.
I am so un-organised!!! mine is only 2weeks away eeek.
If the clinic has a cancellation etc. they might ring you back and move the date forward again - stay positive x Good Luck
I waited over 18months for a final BA date due to various reasons etc. so you will be grand hun x

Aw hun big hugs. Just remember to be honest though if you aren't up to it the GA is alot for your system to take if you aren't right and you don't want to risk any complications with your healing. Fingers crossed you are fit and well in time xx

Re: April Buddies!
Hi again Girls!
I've been home for about 9 hours now, and just thought I'd let you know how I feel. I had to come home with my drains in which is a pain cos I have to carry the bottles everywhere, so I'm in a little discomfort as I can feel the vacuum type suction from them when I move. I can move my arms forward and back but not outwards as this must pull the muscles. I'm not going to lie, it's not the most fun thing trying to get up of the sofa but once up the pain stops again. At the minute the most painful thing is the chest band I have on, with the sports bra over, very tight on my chest! I'd never heard of these chest bands but been told to wear it for 4 weeks night and day with sports bra, so that's my biggest pain at the minute.
Thought I'd let you know :-) xxx

Re: April Buddies!
I spent all last night vomiting with a bug that has caught DH and 2 of my kids.
I honestly thought I'd gotten away without it, but sadly not.
Still it only lasted 48 hours at most for them so hopefully after feeling nauseous most of yesterday I'll be ok be the end of today.
Must be plenty going about at the moment.
Sorry you have drains in Smurph :( Hope it's not for too long.
Why are you wearing a strap? I've not heard of that before. 4 weeks sounds like a long time too, is it due to the op being Unders?
I've been in a right old panic yesterday about having GA. I was really calm and just excited until yesterday, when I started to think of complications and not coming round from the surgery, never seeing my children again.
Honestly, I drove myself round the bloody bend yesterday worrying about all this.
Am I the only one?
