Re: April Buddies!
Oh Gabby you've got yourself sorted out really fast there hun. Glad I could be of help.
I am getting my lashes and brows tinted and my legs and under arms waxed the saturday before I go in on the Thursday.
My friend is doing it all for me (for free) thats the joys of having my ex co worker as my son's godmother. She is brill to me.
I got all my travel size toiletries yesterday (toothpaste, mouth wash, wipes etc.) I even bought myself a new toiletries bag woohoo lol.
Got my new slippers to. Wasn't sure about taking dressing gown. What is everyone else doing and why? x

Re: April Buddies!
12pm admission, but I don't know when I'm heading to theatre.
I'm taking a big book with me that I've just started, just in case I'm waiting a while hahaha
I can stay overnight if I want to (paying for a daycase though) so that makes me think it might be late afternoon.
Tbh I think I'd rather just go home straight after.
I've been reading about possible sizes that people go to after BA, I'm utterly obsessed with what size I'll be
Can't believe it's only 2 weeks tomorrow :boobchick:

Re: April Buddies!
My admission time is 11.30am - hope they dont keep us waiting too long!
I'm staying overnight, so will need to think of what i need to pack.
Are you girls going on your own or taking a friend/relative/other half etc along for support/company?

Re: April Buddies!
good grief NO!
I can't imagine anything worse haha
Hubby will drop me off and pick me up, either that night or next day. I don't even want any visitors if I stay overnight!
He's asked at the very least that I ring him to let him know I'm okay asap after the op. I've delegated this to the medical staff hahaha.
I might ring him as well myself......if I'm coherent.
As long as have support once I'm home I'm fine with that. Ooh that reminds me, I should tell my parents that I'm having surgery soon, they don't know the date...oops!

Re: April Buddies!
Oh time is dragging in for me Angie... i just can't wait i want my boobies NOW hehe!!
Waited over 10years to pluck up the courage to go for it and now that i've set the date etc. i just wish time would hurry-up already xx
I know what you mean Gabby, i'd rather go through it on my own too esp. not looking/feeling the best straight afterwards; but as my hospital is so far away (over 300miles) a relative is coming along with me and staying in a B&B beside the hosp. Be nice to see a friendly face when its all over, but i've warned her not to talk to me before hand as i'll be so worked up......
Your parents will naturally worry about you hun x just slip the date into conversation; Good Luck

Re: April Buddies!
I am definately having my husband there, I told him when I wake up I want him there, if he is allowed tha is. I will be staying overnight, my only concern is I am having unders and the surgeon will have varies sizes on the day as it will finally be dependant on the pocket space available he knows my mininum and maxium size so really I won't know what size I will actually be and my dilema is what bra size to get I want to be a full D doesn't anyone know what bra size they are taking with them

Re: April Buddies!
I've bought a D and a DD to take in with me. My mums offered to go to the local asda if I need a different size. It saves spending loads of money on lots of different sizes. I'm having 400 unders so a D/DD is about what I'm expecting :) xx

Re: April Buddies!
Ahh, that's understandable Drea, given you'll be far from home.
I'm having my op 2 miles from home, so everyone can stay where they are hehehe
I've bought a 34DD, to allow for any swelling (I'm currently a 29 back) and perhaps a bit of wishful thinking on the cup size
I'e tried the support bra on and tbh there is too much gap now, maybe a cup size. Do you think this will be ok. I guess it's meant to be quite tight afterwards, so perhaps the size will be okay
Drea, I've waited years too. Had to finish having and feeding children first. I too, cannot wait.
Perhaps I'll feel nervous closer to the time. At the minute I just wanna go in and get done!!

Re: April Buddies!
5 more sleeps and we are into April getting giddy now.
Whos going first?
Must buy new sports bras just one size bigger me thinks maybe 2 just incase I can always take them back if they don't fit.
Must harrass surgeon to see what sizes he is taking in to theatre this time.
Hope I'm not last on the list like last time but still hope I'm an afternoon admission!

Ooh I don't know who's 1st up. Perhaps we should have a list?
Do you know what size implants he's thinking of Peachy? I hope he gets it right for you.
What size are you hoping to achieve? Bigger than you are now or a profile change?

Re: April Buddies!
It is coming up faster than I thought it would.
I am to be at the hospital for 7am and PS said I would go down between 8 and 9 so I will not be waiting around for to long. Good really means I get my morning cup of tea sooner lol. I know I will be dying for that, as its the first thing I get ever morning.
As for who goes first, I am the 14th so right in the middle x

Re: April Buddies!
I don't care aslong as they are wider to be honest hun. I thought a profile change may be in order but my PS thinks not so is just sticking a few more cc's in there ah well he is the expert. He said around 400ish but I'm not convinced 0.75cm is going to make that much difference. So I'm going to ask him to take in the 445's aswell. I daren't go any bigger than that even though the 525's are on paper the right size for my BWD xx

Re: April Buddies!
lol i forgot to say,
My admission time is 1.15pm on 11th April. I'm having an uplift too so are staying in overnight.
I've finally bought my front opening pj's & there short sleeved wahoo (many thanks to asda kids) & still need a few other bits. I've been trawling through the internet last few days to try & find the best priced front opening bra. Due to having the uplift aswell, i thought it best to buy the front opener as it will be easier to get on & off. I'm also having unders so want to be as comfortable as poss ;-)
Oooooh......i'm so excited..da da da & i just can't hide it......

Re: April Buddies!
We will all join in with your singing Tek hehe!!
I've bought a couple of different size sports bras to take; the PS really should advice you on the approx end result. Just difficult to tell how much swelling there will be - everyone is different.
I'm worried about the bra band rubbing on the stitches if its too tight ouch!! and not enough support if its too lose.
I've heard maccom bra's are good as they dont have an actual cup size and fit a range of sizes; has anyone got one of these?
I had a look at them on their website but they are quite expensive.

Re: April Buddies!
i cant decide what bra to buy drea, my minds in a spin
My PS reckons i'll be a full C, but with swelling i could end up a D. So in my mind rather than buying a range of C & D cups plus maybe 32's & 34's lol i could end up spending a fortune. Thats why i thought of buying a macom myself that way it stretches or de-creases with you. Plus if there made especially for post-surgery then they have to be comfortable. The only thing with buying a macom in my mind is that then i've only got 1 & i want to keep as clean as poss, so thats why then contradicting what i 1st thought then should i buy maybe just 1 cheapie for now, i can buy some more after i know exactly what size i am after surgery.
Also i asked at my last consultation if the hospital supplied me with a bra after surgery & he said no, only if the one i bring doesnt fit. My thought there was to buy a cheapie one & hope it dont fit so he then has to supply me with one heheee ;-)
I'm poo with decisions lol
