Hi Girls,

My aim is to be a C at least..but ive got this horrible feeling im going to be unhappy when I wake up and cry haha. The nerves are starting to kick in now (as the would) I just want it done now..this week is dragging so bad..all I want is a nice cleavage when I put on a bra and to be able to wear a nice bikini on holiday and bube tube dresses that stay up..and to chuck the chicken fillets! is that to much to ask hehe..i think i just need some reassurance.... :( god help what im going to be like after this op teehee!!

sorry for rambling..needed to get this of my little chest.

Post by lilibet 29th December 2010, 11:25 pm

Hey Sofee - I know the feeling - should be alseep but can't stop reading abut everyone's experiences.. I was thinking of going for the 280s but after reading everything on here(pretty much), I've decided on the next size up which are actually 315s. I borowed some implants from the hospital and wore a 280 & 300 (1 each side) in a cheapy bra for the weekend. Although I like the look of the 280s I figured that once they go under, I will loose a bit of the volume up top - plus I'm having anatomical. So in the end have opted for the 315s which are probably a bit bigger that I would usually go for but the size down in the make I'm going for is actually 275 (the Pure PU coated ones) - still with me?! How about doing the rice test that everyone talks about on here & doing one side 280 & one side 300. At the end of the day you are paying for this surgery & you need to be 100% happy before you go for it. My PS initially thought the 300/315 would be a bit too big as they would come out a bit at the side but when I told him I was OK wiht that - he was fine (I showed him the bra on with the 300 & said I was OK with that look). At the end of the day as one PS said on his website, they are not mind readers & you really need to tell him what you want. Also my PS did say (when I first put a 240 implant into my padded bra in the consultation & nearly fell over at how massive it looked before I got used to it) that a lot of women do wish they had gone a fraction bigger.

Having said all that, you are taller & thinner that me (I'm 5'4" & 9st) - the other thing to say to your PS is that you def want a C cup & can he really guarantee that with the 280s? I would say you should definitely try to speak to him ealry this week.

Big hugs - this week will wizz past xx :console:

Well, you must have a very small frame Sofee (I'm 5'6½", quite slim and weigh 130lbs - 9st 4lbs - size 8/10) - so your surgeon is probably correct in thinking anything larger will not be in proportion. I had unders too (but this make it harder to get a decent cleavage because they are separated by the muscles - and I think my surgeon changed his mind because I had asked for overs - but I think he thought I might be at risk of symastia if he had gone for overs.
You should have a chance to talk to him again before the operation and so you should raise this with him beforehand as it is a lot of money to pay if you think you would like to be larger.
Good luck hunnie

Hi sofee...
your stats are exactly the same as mine, I'm 5'7, 8 stone, small A cup and having 280cc (anatomical) unders... I have exactly the same worries as you, but I can't make up my mind whether it'd be worse to feel too big or too small? What do you think?

I think as we have a slimmer frame perhaps the smaller cc's will look bigger on us anyway? I have to wait for my surgery until March as I haven't long finished breast-feeding, and so I have another consultation booked in February... my problem is that I'm wrestling wanting bigger boobs with also wanting to hide the surgery from all of my family.
Is there a chance that your surgeon could take in the 280's with a couple of bigger sizes and see what they think as they're operating? I've heard of other surgeons doing this, but I guess it depends on how sure you are that your surgeon knows exactly what you're after?
(my surgeon knew exactly what I was after at my consultation... A modest size improvement with a very natural results... but now I have boobie greed and I think I want to be bigger than I led him to believe... argh, I'm so contrary and confused!)

All the best hun!! I hope you get what you want!

hi girls
I know how you are feeling - i really do. I am now 4 weeks post op and had 250cc partial unders!! I can only give my opinion. I am 5 ft 4, 71/2 - 8 stone normally and size 8-10. I was a 32a before, not totally flat but saggy and empty. My surgeon told me 175-225 and I freaked out before hand and sent her an email saying I was trying 250cc rice bags and liked them, really felt anything smaller would be too small. its too much money to spend! She emailed me back saying to trust her and that she couldnt put an implant in that could run risks of being too big and too trust her on the day as she used sizers. Anyway on the day she did use 250cc and said I was right!! and it looked the best. OK now am I happy? Well the thing is, they are very very natural looking boobs and are perfect on my frame, however heres something to think about. Naked they are fab, in tight clothes and bras are so natural that you would not know they are fake honestly. They never sat high on me at all to begin with. In clothes that are baggier, they are a bit lost and not a huge difference to a mega padded bra I used to wear. However its all boob now :-) and at the beginning I was swollen and freaked out they were too big. Now they are perfect for me but I can understand boobie greed totally. It really depends on what you want. Now Im done I would rather be too small (not toooooo small but smaller) than be too big. But then Im 37 and just wanted to be in proportion and wont be showing them off as such - this is for me. I do a lot of sport and did not want to have big boobs just normal. I am now a 32 d and am over the moon. My advice is to speak to the surgeon and ask him to take bigger sizes in to try. It is such a big decision and i send mega big hugs to you. Its hard but also true that they change over the weeks too so prepare to expect the usual issues (wide apart - high) and whatever size you get just be patient and once out the sports bras it is different. Ive took lots of photos and they are changing weekly.

Hi hun, I too went for the smallest implant first because unlike you I didn't want to be too BIG....but after more discussion and advice from friends who had them already they all wished they had a gone alittle bigger!! I eventually chose 375c and was glad I did because they are absolutely perfect and natural looking for my frame. If I had gone for the smaller one's I would have been unhappy, I'm sure. It is the hardest decision but all you can do is read up and compare as much as you can. If you talk to your PS and maybe show him a pic of your ideal size and see if he agree's that he can achieve this result with you personally. Good luck babe, I'm sure you'll come to the right decision. Keep us girls posted with your progress OK? xx

I went through this too. I initially said I just want a pair of boobs that wee the same, not big boobs just boobs, and after looking at 1000's of boobs decided I wanted to be a C cup. At my first consult I told my ps I wanted to look natural not big as I go to a lot of peoples houses and didnt want my boobs to be the first thing they saw. He suggested I should go to a D cup at least for my frame. I thought he was nuts and a D cup seemed massive. He told me to go away for a week and try the rice test and suggested I try 400cc, which I did. Although I liked them, they did seem massive. Went back a week later told him I liked so we decided on 390 & 420 as I had diff size boobs pre op.
I sometimes forget just how big they are now as I am so used to them, but I wnet from wanting a C cup to being a DD/E and I love them.

I had 295 cc round unders just 9 days ago and boobs still quite swollen and high - but today I tried on my tankini swim top which normally has empty cups and I compleltly fill it now, then I put on my old 34B underwired gel bra (bought wrong size was only a 32A before BA) and my god it showed me great potential of what I may end up looking like. I am 5ft 6 - weigh 9 stone. Good luck with your decision and with your sleeping!!

Post by angelemma 30th December 2010, 6:28 pm

Hi Sofee :)

I was driving myself totally mad with the implant size before my op - I think we all do it. I had a restriction on size too as I had asymmetry correction, so my surgeon could only go as big as my small side would allow - that was a small B cup I had 330cc in that side and am currently in a DD bra! I am also a size 12-14 so on you they would look massive!

As all the girls on here will tell you the same thing, surgeons work in volume not cup sizes.. so take some picures of what you'd like them to look like with you & show him before the op. I reckon you'd end up a C/D cup with those implants - and I think considering your frame & height they sound just right!

Good luck!

If your not happy with the size hun then get a few more opinions form other surgons......one might say 295cc but the other may say 460cc! there can be such a difference & if your not happy then shop around.

Im 5 foot 4& a half & weight 8 stone at the time of my op & had 460cc which given my frame they dont look huge at all shrug & given your alot taller then me i would have thought you could high wise get away with a bigger implant but its also go's on breast width measurments & tissue ect so i couldnt judge......I would definatly get a second appinion thou.

Also my G.P advised me not to get large implants due to my small frame as he felt the 'jordan' loo wouldnt suit me so i lied to him about what cc implant i was getting..told him i was having 250cc ( but i had 460cc) &after my op i went back to show him the end product ( tht souds bad lol Hysterical ) & he was so pleased i didnt have the large implants & that i didnt go for the jordan look! Hysterical
So it go's to show that small people can carry big implants without looking silly shrug

Your paying hun if you feel you might want to go bigger then get a few more surgon apinions... they might all say the same but its worth trying .......its alot of money for something that your worried might not be big enough.

Hi hun, I would try to talk it over with your surgeon again. Although you do have to be aware of the risks of getting a larger implant such as rippling etc. I would think you would get a C maybe larger with that size implant especially if you have a small band size ie 30
However if you go to a bra shop and pick up a 30C bra you will see it's the same sort of cup size as a 34A, so what I would do is make sure it's a C cup you actually want, go to a shop and pick up a variety of pre formed cup bras in your band size and see what you think. Take pictures to your surgeon of boobs you like. If you dont trust your surgeon to give you what you want then you should try a different one.

Post by Crystal 31st December 2010, 10:29 am

& try & forget about aming for a 'bra size ' as they can never tell what size youll be its just impossile................

I went into my consultation with the imadge off a 34DD in my head but told my surgon i wanted to be a D-DD cup.......he measured me as a 28-30 back with out sayin anything ( i had never been measured before or even brought bras really, always got my mum to do it) so he was think i wanted 30DD which is tiny compared to the 34DD i had inmy head  ...............his face was a picture when i picked up the 410cc & 460cc & asked if id get a DD cup out of them ....he just replyed yes & the rest.

Im now a 30G + which is cup wise the about the same as a 34DD

If my surgon had of taken litrally what i said 'I want D-DD boobs' in my actual band size id have been gutted......In the end he could see i was confuced & infact had no idea about bra sizes or cup sizes so he just said i could go as big as i wanted as i had breast feed & left me to try them all on & the 410cc looked right on me & the 460cc looked to big so i went with the 410cc at 1st...........then on the day of my op last minute nerves & panic set in as i didnt want to have a big op 7 ay lots of money & not be big enough so i switched to 460cc 10 mintutes before my op.......& im so glad i did asonce in me the 460cc looked like the 410cc i tried on....once in you i think they do come up smaller then when you try them on so bare that in mind.

Are you a;ready booked in with this surgon who has offered you the 295cc? Even if you are then you could always ring the company & ask for a second apinion as you would really like to see if you can go bigger...........like i said before onemight say you could go twice the size or they might say the same shrug ....I have read so many girls saying one surgon said 250cc one said 410cc & the other 395 ect so its worth getting another opinion as its alot of money for something your not 100percent sure about Hug

Im 5 6" and weigh 8 stone and 34aaa pre op, and due to my job my top half is really well toned, meaning I have strong and thick chest muscles. I was offered 320cc but felt this would be too big for my size, I ended up with 290cc. I am 2 wks post op and am pleased so far, they are still quite high but fit in a 34c bra and I feel will be slightly bigger when the implant drops fully behind the nipple. But again like you read over and over on here, they dont look that big. I think that maybe because I never needed a bra that a D cup sounded Jordanish!!

Post by lindylou22 31st December 2010, 1:11 pm

Wow, all this sizes and cc's and band measurements and cup measurements and dropping and fluffing.... it's so confusing!

My ribs measure 29.5 inches, so that's a 34 band isn't it?

I think I'd definitely rather be a little bit bigger than I'd hope for than to look in the mirror and say, "Well, I've paid 4k, but there's not that much difference!" But there are just so many things to consider... I guess you look different naked to what you do in clothes, so what I've done is kind of stuffed one of my bras with cotton wool and stuff until in the mirror I look the kind of size I want to be, and one that looks in proportion with my body. I have no idea what size this is in bra cups, but I'm hoping that if I take it back to my surgeon and say, "that's the sort of size I want to look" it'll be somehow useful... does anyone think this is a good idea?
I think the problem with looking at pictures is that they're almost always nude, so you don't really know how they look in clothes, the person might have a bigger frame than you, or be a lot shorter or taller, so what looks big on them might look smaller on you etc, plus their shape might be entirely different before and after...

It really is tough, but I guess that's why it's so important to choose a surgeon who you trust entirely...

Maybe if you know the absolute biggest you'd want to be you could start there and work backwards instead?!

Have you tries the rice test LL? Its not exact but gives you a rough idea, if you say want 300 cc, put 300g of rice in a pop sock and put it in a bra. Everyone on here says that surgeons dont use cup sizes but mine did. He said try 400 g rice and get a 34d bra and see what its like, I did and I liked. Think its worth you trying that x

They do talk about cup sizes, but cup sizes arent an exact science. One persons perception of a cup size will vary to anothers, and that includes surgeons.
We had a thread on here recently where James mcdiarmid saw two celebrities and guestimated them as large B, small C cups.
Most of us girls estimated much bigger, and it turns out we were right, they were nearer F cups.
A cup size is different depending on your band size too. I was a 30C pre-op and as flat as a pancake, whereas a 36 C isnt that small at all. Im a 30FF now, but they dont look any bigger than my mums 36Ds
