Too small!!!!
Hi. I am one week post op and they have definitely got smaller as I measured them last week and this morning. I had 275 unders. My hubby and I asked for at least 300cc but my ps said when she tried them in they looked hideous!! I thought I had got rid of my chicken fillets forever but having just tried them in, I could cry!!! That is how I wanted to look!!!
I am in a D sports bra but only look a C.
Do you think I will 'fluff' or get any bigger over time? I sure as hell hope so otherwise I'll have to go back and I really didn't want to do that as I have a 3 year old and a husband that needs to go to work!!
I'm going to see my PS on Tues so will mention this to her although I expect she'll make me wait for a re op! She knew I was doing this for my 40th birthday/holiday in March.
Thanks girls. I am feeling quite emotional about the size of them today as in clothes they don't look that much different to before surgery!!!
Love Tara x

HI * Welcome Tara
as in the car insurance advert:- CALM DOWN DEAR !!
forgive me, but I had to say that in reaction to your post, I too am in my forties, and I only had 240cc......... I am now 10 weeks post op, and trust me I am sure you will fluff...!!
one week is such early days, your body will be holding them tight, as you had unders, your muscles need to relax and allow the implant to fill out, give it time tara, one week is nothing, you will have so many changes now, and it takes time!
if you stay with us and enjoy this forum then you will get enough posts and some of the girls will show you their pics, (me too), than you see how much they change, fill out, fluff, drop settle etc.,
you make me chuckle!! I am slender and my surgeon like yours knew what would look ridiculous on me, I trusted my surgeon totally and at ten weeks I can honestly say he got it absolutel right for me and my frame...
get some more posts going and I am sure some of the girls inc me will show you our pics.. maybe that will reassure you, for now, take care of them, look after your scars and let them heal... then wait and see what happens!! I went from aa cup to between C & D now at ten weeks...

Re: Too small!!!!
hi tara i know exactly how you feel, it was only last week i was feeling like this i thought by boobs actually looked smaller than before ba and if you have seen my pics you will see in week one they looked a lot smaller to week two, the feelings you have are normall there is so much build up and money involved and we all have got an image in our mind to what we want our boobs to look like and then when you suspect that they arent the size you want its a horrible feeling. i tried to stay positive the week after the ba and then i went to have my bandages off and i hated them i felt really small smaller than before the ba so i contaceted my consultant and she sent an email the the surgeon, the surgeon didnt dismiss my claims of them being smaller and said we will talk about it in our 3mont5h check up.
about two days after that i was looking in the mirror and noticeing all the good points of them so i thought im going to buy some new sports bras accepting that ill prob be a full c and i went to get measured in marks and i measured 32dd i couldnt believe.
i totally sypathise with you its a really horrible sad feeling but all the girls here were saying you will fluff andwait till they drop but i didnt really believe it (SORRY GIRLS) but they have dropped a bit they do look bigger and i know 100% that they will appear biiger again in one months time without sounding patronising you will feel better and happier about your boobs i will be happy to message you anytime as i have soooooo been where you are and its not a nice place x x x big hugs x

Re: Too small!!!!
Ah thanks so much for your speedy reply hun. I am mad because both my hubby and I said that we wanted bigger ccs than my ps suggested (and on 3 occasions!!). How long will it take them to 'fluff' do you think? I was quite happy yesterday but woke up this morning feeling smaller and confirmed this when I measured! Why do they 'shrink'?!!!
Thanks again. It's nice to know I'm not alone!

Re: Too small!!!!
the surgeon told me i cant go that much bigger cos im having an uplift and i said as long as im not smaller and he said on no you defo wont be smaller and i was clearly smaller the 1st week so i was really upset i was even regretting having it done.
i think it takes a good couple of months to fluff but dont know what happened to mine as within a week i think they look a lot bigger its because the skin is so tight i thin when the skin and the muscle relaxes you will see a big diffrence i know you dont believe what im saying cos i didnt believe others either try and think positive an keep busy as in watch a film go for ride in the car i hope you feel better soon i really do

Re: Too small!!!!
Firstly Tara
STOP measuring them, its false reading because your muscles are trying to adjust to the two inflated bags which have been stuffed up under them, and all this will do is get you down and disappoint you.
Moisturise your boobs twice a day when you get dressed/undressed but not on your scars of course,
I noticed about a week in I had tiny little stretch marks appearing, this would be where my muscles began to relax and whereas before the skin wasn't stretched cos the muscles were contracting against the implant, when the muscles did begin to adjust then my skin began to change... so I used bio oil on the boob skin and when my strips came off I put normal savlon on the scars very gently.
at about 3 weeks my left one hit the floor !! overnight it suddenly dropped and looked like a foot ball 3 inches lower than the right golf ball on my right and in came buyers regret and lots of worries, but the girls on here all helped and I just thought, hey ho, sb all the way day and night and don't scrutinize them every day..
about 4 weeks rightie began to come down, and at 6 weeks they were nearly a pair, 9 weeks I went to get measured and nearly fell over when fitted properly in exclusive boutique to be C cup in some bras, D cup in others and in one marie jo a DD cup!!
and that was with 240's........ so be patient hun, and just look after them, its funny Tutti has replied, she was a nightmare first week she was so distraught about her size !!
patience is a virtue!!

Re: Too small!!!!
I have the same feeling some days, Mine looked huge the first week or so and as the days go by I feel disappointed and wish they were bigger. As stated I listened to my surgeon as I am a small frame but still wish I could have gone next size up. The problem being I was told you can only go as big as the cavity will allow once the surgeon opens you up but will do his best to achieve the look you want.
It is a bit gutting epecially going through all that and then the expence and then the worry of deciding if you think you may need to go back in.
I read all the post sayiing they will get bigger in time, so fingers crossed.
Im glad there are others who feel the same way.

Re: Too small!!!!
I only had 250s and measure a DD you can have a look at my pics if you like. My surgeon also told me the 275s looked stupid on me when he tried the sizer during surgery at the end of the day your PS knows best and the 300s where probably to big for your frame or may have caused other problems. Like katie said stop measuring them they will be squashed down at the moment by your muscle that needs to relax and release the implant then you will get tissue forming around the implant so you wont notice your final results until at least 6 months. Im 7 months post op and still feel like there changing.

i forgot to say that my surgeon said he will go as big as he can but i was dissapointed as i wanted to go bigger after 1 week i noticed some rippling which i was starngely glad to see as it proves my surgeon was right if i had a bigger implant i would have had loads of rippling x x

Sorry you're not as happy as you'd hoped to be , I do think that 25cc's wouldn't have made a whole lot of difference though.
Give it time and I'm sure they'll fluff, that's what I'm hoping for anyway , x

Hi Tazzie, Im sorry to hear that your currently not happy with the size. I dont see why your PS would say 300c would look hideous when its only 25cc difference.
If you had gotten the 300's it wouldnt have made much of a difference in size though, as you would need at least 100cc or more to see at least a cup size difference.
The PS can only fit the size implant you have room for too. I had option of 460's but there wasnt sufficient room so the PS went for the 410's in surgery. I was a bit bummed out about it as well, but 50cc is not that much of a difference either.
Its still early days though and the muscle still needs to relax so they may look bigger over time.
Just look at your before and after pics and chances are they are a big improvement to what you had before xx

Re: Too small!!!!
Thanks ladies. Woke up this morning half expecting them to have grown but I'm sure they are shrinking each day!!! From the side view it just looks like I've got a padded bra on. I am soooo emotional at the mo and am sitting here, trying to fight back the tears. I have a beautiful 3 year old daughter waiting to play with her mummy so am trying so hard not to think about my boobs all the time!!!
Anyway, I'm supposed to be going out on Friday for a meal with friends who are in anticipation of seeing the 'new' me, whereas there really isn't much to see. The ones that have visited have been really polite and just said 'they are right for your size/frame' which I know really means 'you can't tell' (as my mum did say!!). I am thinking of cancelling my night out if things don't improve this week!
I am going to see my PS tomorrow so we'll just have to see what she says! I am taking my chicken fillets with me as when I put them in, that is the size I wanted to be. She knew this as my hubby and I made up a tights/rice combo to show her but she still wouldn't put that size in (375). I am gutted that I'll probably end up having to still wear the fillets and hubby isn't too pleased either!
Anyway, I wake up feeling really tight so do you think that is the muscle squashing them? It wears off once I'm up and about though.
Thanks ladies for your support, I'm so glad I have you lot to turn to.
Love Tara x

Re: Too small!!!!
.x. it's such early days please don't worry too much about the size at the moment....I was so worried trying to choose what size implant and ended up going for 230s instead of 260s as i was scared of being too top heavy.... then after the op when i looked down i remember thinking **** should i have gone bigger, because they didn't look as big as i was expecting...but after a while once the swelling went down and they started to relax and settle in a bit and wernt being held as tightly by the muscle I started thinking thank god i DIDN'T go bigger because 230ccs went a long way on my small frame and all the girls were quite amazed after seeing my pics, how Big they actually ended up considering the relatively small size of the implants. I'm sure that they will change A LOT over the coming weeks and months and what you have now is nothing like what they will look in 6 months time. The size will probably change, the shape will change etc, I would not try and book in for a re-op yet because you have not actually seen the final finished result yet and won't do for many months to come. Also, the sugeon wants to make you happy, that's the whole point of their job, to give you what you want, and I'm sure if she decided against the bigger implants there was a genuine reason for it, they have seem more boobs than most of us and sometimes you have to trust that they do things for a reason. On the other hand if after a few more months when they have settled more you are still really unhappy, then by all means consider your options and maybe have a proper talk with your surgeon about why she didn't give you the ones you asked for etc and get a second opinion from another surgeon etc but I would just wait a while because they WILL change.

Re: Too small!!!!
Hi hun, just wanted to say im sorry you are so upset.I had 260g and have gone from a 32a to C/D.I m guessing you are quite petite in general like me so they probably are perfect for you.Im sure to have given you 300g wouldnt have made much difference at all, have you checked the dimensions of the 2 sizes ?im sure you will find there is only mm in difference. If you chose 375 at your consultation that is quite a big size difference and as the others have said the surgeon would have had her reasons for not going this big.You may have got some rippling or stretch marks which would have been upsetting.Mine are a modest size, but you really can make them look amazing in a push up bra or one with a bit of padding without resorting to the chicken fillets again.I always think i dont look too different from when i wore a wonderbra pre op but then i remember that when i take my bra off,it is all me and not half of it dissappeared with my bra!!.All the best hun x

Thanks hun. I'm 5ft 4, 9 st 4 (normally, although I've put a few pounds on since ba, sitting around and boobs I expect!), size 8-10. I'm trying to look on the positive, as you say, when I used to take my bra off, first comes the padded bra n then the fillets drop onto the floor, whereas now, my boob do actually look biggish (to what they were!) naked so at least my hubby'll be happy which I suppose is the main thing, aside from myself!
Thanks once again xxx

Re: Too small!!!!
Hey lovely,
One week post op is nothing to how you'll end up. Trust me lovely, this is not what you'll look like in 6 months time. I was in a B cup support bra the first week after my op and I had 340ccs. Now, a year and a bit over and I'm in a G cup!
As for your surgeon, she knows what she's doing. If she had listened to you and put in the 375s or whatever size you wanted you'd still be upset as you'd probably have rippling and severe stretchmarks. They do this as their job and have years of training to make sure women end up looking good and happy.
If you're really upset then raise the issue with her so it's in your notes. But she won't actually be able to do anything untilo you're at last 5+ months.
Try to relax hun! Lozzie had a similar size and hers look amazing. Don't worry about your friends' reactions at all, you did this for you, not anyone else.
xx

Re: Too small!!!!
I think everyone has given you brilliant advice. Mine are still changing and growing at 6 months post op. Give your new boobies time to heal, you've just had a big op and the GA can make you feel a bit down while it's coming out of your system.
Re: Too small!!!!
Hi girls. Went to see my ps today who was adamant the bigger ccs looked wrong on my frame. I think I am having up n down days (or rather big n small days) as when I got up this morning they seemed bigger again and after my check up, my hubby and I went Xmas shopping. I just couldn't resist trying a couple of bras on in Next (naughty I know!). One non padded, one padded and 34D which I was convinced I would be too small for! My hubby's eyes nearly popped out of his head and he says he can't get the image out of his head, ha ha!!! I must say, they looked fab and at the mo, I am defo a D cup, hubby said he wouldn't be surprised if I was DD as my boobies were very snug!!
So, am feeling tons better today. PS said there is no swelling, took my dressings off and said I could properly shower.
Thank you soooooo much ladies, for listening to my moaning. I have total faith in what you are telling me, so here's to fluffing, a happy me and an even happier hubby!!!

Congrats on the D hun and maybe DD+ in future. The sports bras are decieving and make you look smaller. It's only when your in pretty bras you notice how big they really are.
