Cant have the size I want ! why ? confused !!

I had my first consultation this week at THG and was a bit disappointed with the size the consultant said I would end up with !
He told me I need an uplift and BA, and the best result would be to put the implants under.
I am currently wearing 36D bras, although i did use to be 36 E/F before I lost some weight, so I did ask to go back to my usual E/F cup but he told me this was not possible and that I would probably end up staying a D cup.
He said the end size depended on what they could fit behind the muscle and there is no guarantee that I would even stay 36D !!!
So I am very confused as to why he has said this to me when I see from other posts that other ladies have ended up considerably bigger.
Also I am concerned about losing nipple sensitivity after the uplift, his answer was that in all his many years of surgery only one patient lost nipple sensation in just one nipple, so it really isnt a concern.

I would definately go for more consults to see if there is a differ in opinion.
AS for the uplift, there is the risk but my ps also said that it is very rare to loose all feeling... I had a uplift and was numb for weeks but the feeling has mostly comeback.
I know the though of the uplift it scary but it truly is easier than it sounds and is so worth it, it is amazing what it does to the shape of the boobs!

This is your 'first' consultation hunni, go and see a few more surgeons and get a couple of other opinions, then you'll at least have a good few 'expert' opinions to compare and can make your decision then based on what you're comfortable with. You may find they all agree, then again, you may find some have a very different opinion but it's definately best to seek other opinions if you're not happy hunni.

The loss of nipple sensation is a risk you take when having this kind of surgery, but I would agree with the surgeon that it is a small one... xx

I agree with the others hun and go for some more consults. You'll know when your happy. It's just a mine field at first.
I wanted to be a D/DD and I can't fit into them at all now (I know it's still a bit early after the op but can't see them shrinking) which I'm so chuffed about!!
I've read on here quite alot that surgeon sizes are different to bra sizes too. I was in DD pre-formed cup bras before my op and my surgeon said I was a C cup.

I agree with the girls - I had one surgeon tell me he would do unders on me and only a certain size, but the surgeon who did my op last week did overs and made me the size I wanted and I needed an uplift too. If you have a D cup already then there seems no reason you can't have overs? Best to go to some more consultations :)
