bra size, confused?
Hi i am currently wearing a 34E sports bra which is very comfy. Today i thought i would go and get meassured and buy some proper bras. However, i've just been onto la senza and debenhams web site and according to their meassurments, i'm only a 34c or 34d?
I will be really disappointed if i'm that small. Do BA boobs measure differently to normal boobs?

Re: bra size, confused?
I don't know if this is any help cos I haven't had my ba yet but when I measure myself according to the guidelines, i come up as a 32c however there is no way in the world a c woud fit me so I've always worn a 32d. I would go by what you feel more comfortable wearing, just because a website says you're a C or a D doesn't necessarily mean that's the case. Maybe pop along to the shop and get professionally measured if unsure xxx

Re: bra size, confused?
I once put my pre-op measurements into one of those sites and it told me I was too small to even have a size! (Cant remember which one it was now). Wasn't true though coz I did have litte boobies that fit quite nicely into a 32A bra. Basically what I'm trying to say is that those sites measure ridiculously small and not to worry! xxx

Re: bra size, confused?
The online measuring guides are rubbish. I was told 34C and I got measured in the shop as a 32F!!!
I'd go and get yourself measured properly. M&S and Debenhams are good.

Re: bra size, confused?
Thanks girls. I went to la senza yesterday. She measured me under my boobs then asked what size i was already wearing. Said 34E, she said i measured a 32, so went off and came back with a 32e. Tried it on, but it was far to tight around the rib cage. So then tried 34e, but that gaped slightly across the breast. So then she tried 34DD, fitted really well. My boobs look huge in a proper bra!!! Husbands eyes nearly popped out when i showed him!! Bought 3 bras from la senza and 1 from M&S. I'm happy with 34DD, as hubby said its not important what size is written on the bra, its whether i'm happy with size or not, and i am....very very happy

Re: bra size, confused?
The difference between a sports bra and a normal bra is huge in the way that they make them look.
When I wear my sports bra to the gym they don't look that big but in a normal bra they look rather huge!
Congrats hun. You must be so happy

Re: bra size, confused?
oh gosh hunny never listen to those online calculators they talk utter nonsense!
i done it too after my last op and it said i was a 34 c and i was so gutted, especially as i was a 34 d before my op
i still havent been measured in a shop yet but i have bought some bras from ebay and it would seem i am now a 32 ff as the f is too small and the g is too big so i don't really have to bother getting measured now, although i will do just to find out what they say.
just enjoy your hun.

Re: bra size, confused?
Thanks girlies.
Well i've been wearing my 34DD bra for a week now, and its great, they feel and look so much bigger than when they were squashed down in a sports bra.

Re: bra size, confused?
I'm really glad your happy with your size hun. Don't buy too many bra's though just yet because there is still a lot of change to happen. When i first started wearing proper bra's! i was fitting into a 32D very nicely. However now i am too small for that and i need a 32DD. Although officially i am a 30E, but i find 30 a bit to tight for comfort so i only buy a 30 when its a strapless bra, and i stick to 32 for other bra's.
