confused on bra size
I measure 33 rib cage and 41 across the bust, i've looked at lots of bra calclators and got so many different results and if you do it the old fashion way subtract rib cage from across the bust and the difference in inchs is your cup size, that makes me an H !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yeah right, i don't think so more like a 36/38 E

Re: confused on bra size
according to online size calculators i was anything from a 30g to a 34b after BA. i have been fitted now and am in a 32e. online calculators are total rubbish and all give different results. wait til you can get fitted for a bra and see what happens then.

Re: confused on bra size
I agree with the above. I used an online calculator and it said I was a 38AA! Marks and Spencers measured me as 36B.
Although now I am post BA - who knows?! Looking forward to getting measured! X

I too agree with Pinkbabe, the online calculators are rubbish!
I know it's hard hun and we're all impatient to know what we're going to result in, but if you're comfortable in your sportsbra till you are allowed to be fitted for wires I'd put bra sizes right out of your mind, get yourself through the recovery period then get fitted properly to get the best enjoyment from your boobs babe. xx

Re: confused on bra size
Hi hun have you been told when you can get fitted yet? I can start wearing proper bras at the beginning of next week. I'm going to treat myself to a nice leisurely day out without the kids and go to a few places and get fitted properly see what they say. Dunno what I will end up but it will be fun seeing xx

Hi Ya Peachy
Not seeing consultant til 14th oct so not sure yet.
I must admit i have not been very impressed with the spire, as i was not told alot about aftercare and when i could do things.
I emailed her the other day about a bath and she just said if your healed then soak away til your hearts content.
To be quite honest i think alot of the time they say these things just to cover themselves, personally i don't think there is any need to wait as long as they say, or in my case not being told anything!!!!
But i guess i will wait til the 14th and get the all clear.

Won't be long hun only a few more weeks. Wonder if we will miss the sports bras when they've gone. I love my Asda one I walk round the house with that and my tracky bottoms on pretending I'm going to do some exercise lol xx

Re: confused on bra size
I'm fed up with the sports bras, got bra extenders on now with them, just feel uncomfortable all the time, it seems like they are digging in constantly.
Mind you glad i had one on the other day, i ran into the post office while my o/h was waiting in the car, not thinking and had to grab hold of my boobies to stop them giving me a black eye lol

Actually there are very valid reasons why you're requested to wait the general 6 weeks before getting the OK to buy bras sweetness.
To quote James McDiarmid -
The 6 week guideline for underwired bra wearing is there for 2 reasons.
1. so you buy the right size - you will be swollen until several weeks have passed after your surgery.
2. to avoid irritation of an inframammary fold incision.
xx
Re: confused on bra size
Yes i know your right, sorry Cookie, i'm just ranting at not being told anything about my aftercare, sorry all you new girls out there, yes there are rules and you should stick to them for a reason :)

6 weeks is only the 'general' guidance hun, if your surgeon thinks you're fine to wear wires at 4 weeks post-op, then you'll be OK to do so hunni. xx
Re: confused on bra size
To be honest I'm not sure Cookie. All the nurse said was I can stop wearing the sports bra after 4 weeks because thats the timeframe my surgeon tells his ladies he also tells them not to massage too much aswell. I didn't think too much about it too excited by the thought of sexy bras lol.
I see the surgeon next Monday which is 4 weeks post op so I will ask and make sure then. I've spent too much on these babies to do anything to jeopardise them I would wear the sports bra for another 6 weeks if it was better for their healing. Thanks xx
