recovery time after re-op???
I am probably going to have a re-op in the new year - I need my implants (unders) lowered a bit, and either a doughnut or lollipop lift on either one or both sides (hopefully/probably just a doughnut)
My surgeon has said that the recovery time is likely to be less this time around, so now my boyfriend has got it into his head that hes not going to need to take any time off work to help me with the kids.
He starts a new job on 17th of january, so wont be able to just take time off immediately.
Am I going to be alright?

Re: recovery time after re-op???
Your surgeon said 'less' recovery time hun, not 'no' recovery time.
I'd ensure you had help available to you for at least a couple of days after you come home from hospital hun. Remember that you will have had a general anaesthetic and that alone takes it out of you... you will also need a couple of days even with a good recovery to take time to rest after your op hunni. xxx

Re: recovery time after re-op???
I agree with cookie, my re-op recovery was quicker but the first day or 2 were still the same discomfort wise as the first op. You will stil need help for a couple of days and een though the discomfort tends to go quicker with a re-op, you have still had an operation and a GA which takes it out o you. xx
P.S you always make me want a doughnut talking about doughnut lifts

I have to agree with cookie hun, I think at least the first few days you will feel a little fragile, so just having someone on hand to see the kids would be a good idea. xx

Could you have the re-op on a Friday and then if your boyfriend doesn't work weekends at least you will have a few days help with children? Hope you find a solution that works for you all! xx
