Re-op done and back home resting!!!!
Hi Ladies
Well I am back home now (since about 11.30) after my re-op yesterday . All is looking :good: at the moment according to Mr S anyway so if you would like to read about my day yesterday then here goes. BE WARNED it may be a little boring for you.
I arrived early for my admission at about 11.15 after calling my OH for everything as we got out the car when he asked if there was a cafe there where he could get a cup of tea while we waited. Now this did not go down to well, for one my mouth was as dry as a dont know what after not having anything to drink form 8.30 friday night and I have the worst case of PMT imaginable. So I trotted into the clinic on my own and proceeded to tell all to the poor receptionist, needless to say the two of us took great joy in calling men for everything and said it was an insult to creatures on Mars to say they actually come from there.
Anyway moving on, he texted me shortly afterwards declaring his undying love etc so he was forgiven (slightly). I was admitted, put on my lovely knicks, socks etc and waited and waited and waited. I was last on the list and starving hungry and so thirsty with a headache so bad I could have cried. I was just drifting off into a nice sleep in a nice dark room when my lovely Mr S breezes in all happy happy and switching on every light switch imaginable ( or so it seemed). He did the usual and explained the procedure, a capsulotomy on righty and scar revision and a stitch in the muscle on leftie, and also about the complications :pale:
I cant remember exactly what time I went up to theatre (xtra factor from last week had not long started and I was back in my room at about 5.20pm. I was quite compus mentis this time round and when the aneasthetist woke me up and said Mr S had done a great job, I answered ' I bloody hope so' this got a laugh from the team and Mr S. I also remember a bit of football banter with the guy who took me back to my room and the nurses putting on my bra etc.
I had a drain in and there wasnt much fluid at all that came out at all, which I was told was good. I never managed to eat the gorgeous food again, but did manage to watch the X Factor !!
Had a midnight chat with the loveliest head nurse, talk about sharing life stories and finally went to sleep about 12.40 am. Woke up this morning, had a wash, and a lovely breakfast and cant believe how great i feel, I can actually move my arms and their is no horrible tightness ( God knows how I will feel tomorrow, but I am not taking the co-codomol unless necessary) . Mr S advised to wear a strap for 3 weeks and after 2 weeks I have to start massaging righty quite vigourously as he is still bemused how I got CC so early as everything I have done should have prevented it from not smoking, healthy, under muscle , textured implant etc. So I was just unlucky I guess, but fingers crossed this will work out now and no more ops on boobies for me.
Sorry to have bored you all but I would just like to say again a big and by the way my boobs look really small now!!!!!!!
and bestest wishes to us all

Re: Re-op done and back home resting!!!!
Thanks ladies for all your good wishes, it means a lot to me.
Well I have woken up this morning with a touch of the post op blues
It's not because I am in pain or anything, righty is a little more sore today but expected that. I've been able to give myelf a wash down and have got dressed, thinkin I will feel better not being in my PJ's all day, BUT it's th shape of my that have got me down.
They look really droopy and pointig out to the sides. I know I will have to go through changes again like fluffing etc (I hope) but it looks like they are miles too small for my bras. Not brave enough to check it out yet though!!!
I can't remember them looking this bad when I had my BA last year. It's probably just me, I'm feeling fed up and this strap I am wearing is irritating me already.
Sorry for the moan first thing in the morning ladies.
Hopefully will be in a better mood later.

Re: Re-op done and back home resting!!!!
Hope you feel better as the day goes on - I'm sure boobs will settle down soon. Reading your first post, did you have implants replaced? if not I'm sure size should be roughly the same as you were before. Very worrying to hear you had so many problems within a year of surgery - hopefully this will be the start of ten years + problem free for you. xx

Re: Re-op done and back home resting!!!!
hi Jellytoto1
Yeh I had the right implant replaced with the same size (410cc) and just read my notes again from the clinic and the left implant was uplfted. As I said it's just a bad day for me, many of us go through it. I'll just have to be patient, which is not one of my stronger traits if I'm honest
I've just placed the strap over my bra instead of under it, not too sure how tight to have it tho !!!!!
Any advice anyone please

Ohhhh hunni, I'm not at all surprised to read you have a touch of the post-op blues, you've been through so much lately
You can always Email Mr S if you're at all concerned about anything babe, he's really good at getting back to you, usually the same day and is more than happy to respond. xxx

Re: Re-op done and back home resting!!!!
Hi Cookie
I feel stupid really, he said yesterday that all went well, and I've just had another look and thought yes this is what they looked like last time. Whey I took the band off they filled the sports bra out fine, but I have just been reading older posts and DR James advised to wear the band under the bra and tighter than the bra. So this is what I will do and if I am stil concerned I will email Mr S, or wait till I go to see Alison on Saturday.

Re: Re-op done and back home resting!!!!
Awww don't feel stupid hun. We all have concerns post-op in wanting our perfect boobs and those feelings are so much more heightened for a re-op, after going through so much it's natural to just want everything to go smoothly this time
Re: Re-op done and back home resting!!!!
Aww hun I am sorry you're feeling pants . I have been through ups and downs after my re-op too and I am constantly analysing my boobies again thinking did they look like this last time etc, I think it is totally normal. I have tried my hardest to pop them away in that big old bra and let them get on with whatever they need to do because i know they change so much but i still find it hard.
Thankfully I don't have to wear the strap this time but i did last time and I can totally sympathise with you I HATED it, but it's not for long and its worth it for lovely boobies. I wore mine over the bra and it was quite tight xxx

Re: Re-op done and back home resting!!!!
hello and a big hug from me. i am 4 days post-op and CONSTANTLY worrying about size and shape and am full of anxiousness about what the end result will look like. And i am wearing a strap which is DRIVING ME MAD.
hang in there. you've had a real dose of bad luck with your re-op, but it sounds like your surgeon is fab and that you're on the road now to a great recovery and lovely boobies!
take care

Hi Hattie
I know you have been through so much, and I remember feeling for you at the time. I will do the same as you and stop analysing and also try the strap over my bra.
Wishing you all the very best wishes and here's to no more probs for any of us

Re: Re-op done and back home resting!!!!
Morning Ava,
First of all please dont let reading my story make you nervous in any way. My story is unusual and rarely happens, I'm just very unlucky.
You just need to sit back and enjoy your boobie journey hun, you have lots of changes ahead and l look forward to hearing about them. Thanks for your support hun
And I sympathise with you over the band, but I am determined to see it through to the bitter end and hopefully will get some nice .
Take care and rest up

Does everyone have to wear a band afterwards and if so, how long for?

Re: Re-op done and back home resting!!!!
hi Jellytot1
No, not everyone has to wear a band. It's at the discretion of the surgeon, as I never had to wear one last time. I think he wants me to wear one now after my re-op so as to help the implant down and stay in place, as before it never dropped and CC occurred. I have to wear mine for 3 weeks.
