Re: PIPs on This Morning
This is not a bad interview actually, she was not made to seem vain or bad in any way for getting the implants and they went into more detail about PIP aswell which i liked. The only thing is that i saw my surgeon before and had a proper consultation and still this happened.
All round i am very glad this is finally being publicised in a way which doesnt victimise the people who have suffered as a result of this, it has actually explained the situation as it is. xx

Didnt catch much of it at all unfortunatly but did hear something being mentioned regarding thanking her solicitor...has she been successfull with legal action? I did see the state of the removed implants...nasty!...soooo cant wait to get mine out...xxx

Re: PIPs on This Morning
@Vix - I also had a consultation with my surgeon before the day of surgery and researched him more after that first meeting as well. Never would've even considered booking/having an op with someone I'd never met before.
Sharon, she didn't mention whether the solicitors had got anything yet just that she was using them and then Phil cut her off as you're not allowed to advertise on their show. Agree on the state of her implants, makes me feel sick to think that could be what's inside of me and can't wait to get them out!

Hi Sharon - you may be able to watch it on the web, it was a good interview and as vix said there was no victimisation for having had a ba.
It's ggod to get it profiled, but there was mention of PIPs being cheap, but when your paying £4000 for an op it that really what is considered cheap?

Re: PIPs on This Morning
Bumble,
I know, i did tons of research and i actually refused to have the first surgeon offered because i had heard some bad things so i was very careful. I looked into all the possible complications, but as rupture was deemed 'less than 1% chance' of happenning it didnt really enter my head as a strong possibility, i was more concerned about capsular contracture. I was prepared for all risks but not prepared for silicone used in mattresses to be used in my body!
I have been in contact with the said solicitors and am still considering what to do. If you do get in contact everything is confidential so you wouldnt be able to discuss what you have been told about the case. xx
ps. i was never told the implants were the cheapest option, i was just told they were standard and safe. x

Re: PIPs on This Morning
Thank you for putting the link on - have just watched the clip. Shocking that all the ladies who have had this implant have not been contacted for ultra sound scans etc - seems amazing that I can get a recall and a free repair on the electric mirrors on my car (even though I bought it 2nd hand) and that something like this that could affect 50K women is being left for them to find out about it, have scans and then pay for re-ops. Best of luck to all of you this affects x
