Help with size desperately needed!
After taking 10 years to pluck up the courage to have a BA, it is finally booked for the end of this month.
Whilst this is my first post I have found reading all of the information on this site an absolute god send, just reading that everyone has the same worries/concerns as me reassures me that I am not becoming obsessed (although that is probably debateable!).
My biggest concern is chosing the right size. I won't be seeing my surgeon again now until the day of my op and although I'm sure that I will be able to change size right up until the last minute I can't switch off about it - its ruining my life!
I tried 340, 380 and 410cc. I liked both the 340 and the 380 but don't want to be too big. I am currently a 34aa and would like to be a full C/small d. Which of these sizes do you think would achieve this?
Thanks in advance xx

Re: Help with size desperately needed!
That is such a hard question to answer and depends on so much! I was a 34aa pre ba and now a D cup but only had 300cc implants. I know that doesn't help but the best person to give a realistic idea is your surgeon as they have all the right measurements for you.
Is there any chance you could squeeze in another consult before your op???

No that is the problem as I can't take any more time off work.
I suppose I will just have to try and switch off about it and discuss it with him on the day before making a final decision.

Have you had a conversation with your surgeon about the size/look you want to achieve? They won't guarantee cup size but will normally give you a good indication. The end size depends on so many things that it's hard to judge what size you will end up.

I think it's so difficult to tell what size cc will get you to a certain cup size. I wanted to be a DD got 410cc and ended up a FF but to me I look a DD so I got the look I asked for.
Re: Help with size desperately needed!
I got a full C with 360cc unders. Started with 32AA.

Dolly - it's already been said but I agree that arranging another appointment with your surgeon to discuss your expectations is ideal. I was offered 300something, 410cc and 460cc High profile. I selected 460cc's BUT since my appointment I have read so many stories, looked at millions of pictures and am now questioning whether I actually want to go slightly bigger, I am worried that by going under I will lose some of the volume...my surgeon says this won't happen BUT I have heard it can happen.
Anyway I have arranged an appointment for this afternoon to discuss sizes again....I want to be 100% sure about the size we choose and the best person to speak to is my surgeon!!!

Re: Help with size desperately needed!
I'm a 34 back too, I had flat tuberous breasts to start with. I had 390 overs and I'm now wearing 34D/DD. Judging by that , 380 unders would probably give you small D/Full C xx

I agree.
The whole size issue is a real mystery to me! and my advice is to decide the look and size YOU wish to achieve. Search for pics of women with a similar body type of yourself and with the breasts that you want, take the pics in to your surgeon to discuss how he might achieve the look and size in the pics for you - Be realistic in your expections! Surgeons do not work in cup sizes and we seem to have very different perceptions of how large a specific cup size is so to ensure you're working from the same page a pic tells a thousand words and will help your surgeon so much in knowing exactly the look you're wanting.
Just to show you how wacky and weird the sizing thing is and how not to just expect to get a specific cup size based on others stats or the amount of CCs theory per cup size, I started off a small 32B first BA opted for 460cc implants, this took me up4 cup sizes to a DD cup - resulting size 32DD
My re-op, although I measured a DD my boobs looked much bigger and far too big for my small frame so I took the opportunity seeing as I had to have an uplift anyway due the damage from rupture to reduce my implant size... now he's the mystery!
I reduced my implant size to 410s - starting size 32DD after the reduction.... resulting size 32F!!!!!!!!!
I've no idea how that happened!!!!!! My boobs look smaller because they're noticeably narrower now so I'm a happy bunny, but they do measure larger now with smaller implants than they did before!!!!
Oh and just to add about the unders losing volume - 'Sometimes' that does happen, 'Sometimes' it doesn't... if this is something you're concerned about, discuss this with your surgeon who is the best person to give adice on getting the look you're hoping to achieve.
Remember that a lot of women do wish they'd gone bigger but there are many who in turn wish they'd opted for smaller too... do all your research pre-op and ensure you're 100% happy with decisions made before going through with the surgery. xx
Re: Help with size desperately needed!
This is the first opportunity I have had to thank you all for your help and advice.
I am going to try my best to wangle some time of work and see my surgeon again, I will probably have to invent a drs appointment but then again that would only be a white lie woudn't it!
It is definitely between the 340cc and the 380cc as I felt the 410 were just too big for me, although after looking at the size of my backside he said I could go up to a DD!!
Would there be much difference between a 340 and a 380cc implant, as it is only 40cc?

Yes. I had an implant change of just 50ccs and it's made a big difference to the size and shape of my boobs, most noticeably the width. xx

I totally agree I had 435 and was told a D or DD and ended up a G/H, If you don't want too big really stress this to your PS.

Re: Help with size desperately needed!
When I had my op I was offered 340, 380 or 410cc as well, and I started of as a 32A. I was really undecided like you, finally narrowed it down between 380 and 410, but still couldn't decide. I asked MYA to order in both sized on the day of my op in the hope I would have made a decision by then. In the end I went for the 410, and I ended up a 32E. xxx
