i have just re-read this sticky as i am now wondering about the pain. you expect a fair amount of pain after the op and i managed it ok. the weight REALLY bothered me and the pain from that in my shoulders and neck, but the actual pain inside was bearable. however, i dont know whether its because the numbness is starting to subside but i feel as though i have really bad sunburn inside all over and its being whizzed about if that makes sense? imagine a snow globe that has been shaken. they have been burning from day one but i just thought it would start to fade but it hasnt. they also hurt quite a bit when i walk or any 'up and down' movement, so i have to support them even though i have the sports bra yanked up as high as it will go! pople must think i am a bit of a perv walking round holding myself ;-)

my surgeon said last monday i was healing well but since then i have noticed the scars going quite red and the one underneath (i had a full uplift as well) is very lumpy, but i know this is normal this early (i think i am 18 days post op now). they also still feel very heavy, but luckily not as much as the first 7-10 days.

does all this sound normal? i hope so! i have also been using my own DIY bio oil stuff for the past 2 days as well. its not too early is it? i thought it may help with the lumpy scar.

All sound snormal to be vicki. I had that horrible sunburn feeling and could feel it inside my chest as well for the first week or two. The lumpy scar is totally normal too. I mentioned my lumpy scar at post op check and was told it was probably sutures, apparently the guidance says they dissolve within 6 weeks but surgeons have found them 2 years post op. Keep up with massage. I found my scars went a bit red when I started massaging them.

hi hun, all sounds normal, although not sure if you should be using anything on your scars just yet. I was told 6 weeks, maybe check with your surgeon
