How are 'all the PIPs ladies'
Hi Everyone,
I thought i would post on here as it has been a bit quiet on this thread.
Thought it would be nice if everyone gave a little update on where they are with their PIP stories and how we are all getting on. Even though i have had my reop it is still hard to come to terms with the injustice of it all, so wanted to send a big to all the PIPs ladies (to the tune of Beyonces single ladies, 'all the PIPs ladies, all the PIPs ladies, all the PIPs ladies la la lahh)!
Since having my reop on 15th sept i have felt much better, i am happy that my surgeon was so helpful and was right to remove them. My right impant ruptured quite badly and my left one was flipping. Now i have slightly bigger Natrelle implants and couldnt be happier, he even managed to get rid of a ripple i had and the implants feel so much nicer than PIPs so i am very happy i chose to pay the extra for them.
I hope wherever you all are in your journey you realise you are not alone (Michael Jackson)! Sorry, feeling very musical today!
Big love xxxxx

Re: How are 'all the PIPs ladies'
Pleased you're feeling much better Vix.
I have my op booked for 15th October with Mr withey at mybreast.
Also having lymph nodes removed.
He's recommended an implant only 5cc bigger than the ones I have so i'm a bit worried they wont fill the space well but i'll talk to him about it at next consult.
Have a nasty cold at the moment and desperately trying to kick it to be well for the op. I usually get a bad cough after a cold that lingers so got everything crossed i'm healthy in time.

Re: How are 'all the PIPs ladies'
Hi everyone,
Just passed my 6 week mark last thurs since my PIP re-op and feeling really good.My surgeon Mr Sojitra was great and said my op went extremely well. Im very pleased with my results i think my boobs look better than before so that has gone some way to make up for the trauma i feel ive been through since i started having problems in April. Feel like i've come out the other side now.My leftie still hurts a little ( i had problems in this one) but i'm pretty much back to normal and the uncomfortable sleeping and soreness when i couldn't walk without being in pain seems long ago!! Started back in the gym feel like i got a mountain to climb there but good to be active again!
This forum has been a terrific help to me.I wish it was around when i had my first op 6 years ago!! Everyone is so helpful and supportive.
I feel i made the right move to have them out and it was a relief to hear that the intial investigations are showing that the filler is not cancer causing but because of the high rupture rate this certainly does not make them safe or excuse how we PIP ladies have been treated.(dont get me started on Harley Medical!!) The fact no-one is accountable makes me upset still.
Im thinking of all you PIP ladies and wishing you well Hang on in there you will be okay in the end xx

Re: How are 'all the PIPs ladies'
Hi girls... ...Looking forward to getting my re-op in january, mostly due to due to the fact that my pips are ruptured, but also because of the way they look now. Both boobs have definately lost some volume and i have a slight indent running a little higher than the under breast crease...but on the whole i suppose they still look good in a bra!..Fortunately,I dont really suffer any pain, just occasional dull ache in my armpit but I do often get real tired. Have never really considered it could be because of implants as i always really busy...x

Re: How are 'all the PIPs ladies'
Hi
Im new to the forum but decided to join after seeing how much support there is for girls with Pip's! I had mine put in Nov 2006 and am looking to have them replaced in December by Mr Khan at The London Welbeck Hospital. I currently have 295cc overs and an about a D to DD. I want to increase the size to about an E and have been recommended Nagor 420cc. Im really unsure about this size as I think it will be huge! Im also really unsure on which brand of impant to go for. Obviously Im more worried about safety etc now after having pips. Ive had a look at Allergan Natrelle and these seem to get alot of great reviews. Can anyone please help me decide on Nagor or Alleragn Natrelle and which size!!! Thanks so much :)

Re: How are 'all the PIPs ladies'
Hi Eviee,
Welcome to forum.I had 250cc Pips and had them replaced with 390cc Nagors. I would say the extra 140cc has taken me up just over a cup size so by that reckoning you will get your E cup. I read once that 125cc is about a cup size but everyones stats are different and my advice would be to trust your surgeon.I was offered 360 or 390 and my surgeon recommended the 390 to get extra cup i wanted so he was right. Im very happy with my choice of Nagors but have heard good things about Allergan too xx

Little One - Glad your reop is coming up, shame you are feeling under the weather, just try to look after yourself its getting mighty chilly outside! You will have to let me know how it goes with your lymph nodes as i have not had to go through it, i hope they can clear it all ok xx
Kate613 - Glad you are doing well, its hard to describe how it feels having better implants in, but you must understand, i hope other women going through the same get to feel better soon xx
Sharon - So glad your reop is booked, the time will fly plus you can ask for loads of vouchers for new bras for xmas! I hope your op is straight forward and you feel an improvement like i have. I came back to work today and everyone has said how well i look. I understand what you mean about the appearance of them, mine went very saggy and sorry for itself xx
Bblondie - Not long now, i hope you are looking forward to it and the day goes well for you. I had a really good experience with my reop so i hope yours goes as well xx
Eviee - Welcome to the forum, im glad you found us. I was more worried about safety after having PIPs too, i went with the Allergan Natrelle for an extra cost but i am so glad i did. I know a few ladies on here have had the standard Allergan CUI's and are extremely happy, but like you i have been stung once and wanted to make sure this time. If you search the threads on here you will find good feedback on both of the implants you mentioned so either would be a good choice xx

Re: How are 'all the PIPs ladies'
Hey thanks vix... ...I know my op's a while off yet, but like you said, time flies. Anyway i thought i use this time to try and get myself in good health so have quit the fags ( a week today ) and have started running with my fella. I am pleased to hear that all went well with your re-op and recovery, its reassuring to know the pips didnt cause any major or long term problems...x

Re: How are 'all the PIPs ladies'
Hi eviee...im getting my ruptured pips replaced with nagor implants through mybreast. Like yourself, i am also going bigger due to surgeons recommendation. Now i have 330cc achieving a D cup from an empty A, my surgeon has advised it necessary to have 410cc-470cc due to sagging. Im thinking a bit like you, that they are going to be huge! I do prefer the natural look so because im unsure i am booking another consultation with my surgeon. Im worried i'll look really fake as i have quite a small boyish frame with no hips, 5ft 3", 7st 6lb...although this is what my fella's face looks like at the idea of the 470s... ...x

Sharon,
Well done with the fags , i really struggled, managed two days before and 10 days after but did manage to cut down a bit. If you can quit well before the op i think it will be easier and very good for your health. I cant wait to start excersising again, have put on 5lbs since having op, roll on 6 weeks xx

Hi Eviee and welcome
I am having my PIPs replaced with Inspira Natrelle, I definately did not want the cheaper CUI's after being stung with the PIPs, but I have heard good reports about Nagor too I think it partly depends on your surgeon and clinic as to what is a vailable.
Good Luck

Re: How are 'all the PIPs ladies'
Hi everyone
Thank you so much for all your replys. Its so nice to find people who are experiencing the same as you. Thank you for your advice Kate, its really hard to know what they will look like until after and then its too late to change your mind!
Ive just booked another consultation with my surgeon too Sharon, its a massive thing and you really need to be sure. Im roughly the same shape as you and really dont want to look like Jordan!! Good luck and let me know what he says :)
Thank you Jo for your advice, I think im definatly more concerned this time round after having the pips. Im slightly more in favour of Allergan Natrelle as they are FDA approved but its so hard, how do you really know what any of them are like I guess. A massive good luck for your op, let me know how it went and your verdict on the Naturelle's.
Thanks again girls

Re: How are 'all the PIPs ladies'
Hi Eviee
I was torn between Mentor and Inspira but after meeting with my surgeon I was told I would be mad to miss out on the warranty with transform and Allergan. He uses both at other clinics and felt that the Inspira are good and the better deal.
I will let you know how I get on, starting to fell nervous now and unfortunately being a little irratable and snappy with the kids and hubby, but I think they understand.
What date is your op?

Re: How are 'all the PIPs ladies'
Hi Bblondiiie
Im sure they do understand, its a stressful time for us and if your not going through it then its hard to understand how we feel!
Im still really unsure which implant is the best and probably wont ever really know! im going towards Allergan Inspira as they are FDA approved and I dont want similar problems with the new ones as with the pips. Im still really uncertain with what size to get. My surgeon recommended a 410 but feel this is quite a jump. However I dont want to wake up and regret not going bigger! Its a tough one!
Do you know if your surgeon is removing the scar capsule around your implant or leaving it where it is?
Im booked in for the 2nd December with Mr Khan at The London Welbeck Hospital (he also works for Transform)
If you dont mind me asking how much is yours costing? Mines £4650 if I choose Nagor and around £5,000 if I go with Allergan Inspira. Its such alot of money for something that isnt our fault.
A big good luck for tomorrow. I hope it all goes well. Please let me know how it went and what you think of the Inspira.
Take Care

Re: How are 'all the PIPs ladies'
I have Pips...no problems, US scan has come out fine. But I'm thinking of getting rid of them anyway, as I can't bear al the stress.
My question is - am I over-reacting? They're nearly 7 years old and have been fine with no complications. I'd have been none the wiser before all these reports came out.
Should I replace..or should I wait until the 10 years mark?
What is everyone else doing?

Re: How are 'all the PIPs ladies'
Hi Eviee
Is that what your paying for removal and reimpmantation because it's double what I'm paying.
Transform have agreed to pay for my implants and because of an error at their end I am not being charged for the extra cost for upgrading to natrelle.
I am paying for the surgical team so it has cost £2450. Hope this doesn't depress you too much.
To noname, it is being recommended to get your PIPs checked and probably better to get them out before they rupture and you have other problems, discomfort, aching etc

Re: How are 'all the PIPs ladies'
Eviee...I decided not to go back to my original surgeon for a number of reasons, one of them being he wanted £4000 to do re-op, so after researching different clinics decided on mybreast. Dont know if you know, but mybreast are offering free nagor implants to ladies with ruptured implants which reduces the cost to £4300...x

Sorry eviee...ive just realised that your one of the lucky ones who's pips are still intact!...I wonder if they would still offer that discount regardless of rupture or not? Hey, my friend who recommended my original surgeon had her boobs done 6 years ago with pips and hers are still okay but obviously wants them replacing now...x

Hi noname, I have had a lot of doubts about having mine replaced as so far mine have been fine. I had them done in 2006. However the more I read the more I want them replaced. Its a really hard one and I think its personal preference, I'm a worrier so hence the reason why I want them done! Maybe see a couple of different surgeons and ask james on here as he gives great advive. Good luck :) eviee

thanks..I suppose my worry is how to you balance implants that yes may not be what they should be but have caused no problems for the last 7 years...against the trauma of an operation...that might wait a few years..
It's really difficult, and yes I will seek advice from James....
