Swelling Empty Swelling

Post by suz0410 3rd September 2010, 7:48 pm

Since my BA 11 days ago my left boob has been more painful and swollen than my right. Most of my swelling was down my sternum and on the cleavage bit and on the left side it was worse. Today has been my first day with the kids with no help since my BA and tonight it is really hurting.

I have had two follow up appointments with the nurse who said everything looks really good my incisions have knitted together nicely etc.

Could it be that it has got worse today as I have been chasing after two kids?

I'm off to take a couple of Ibruprofen and get an ice pack

I definitely feel it more if I do a lot. I looked after my 9 month old nephew 5 days post op and that night I was really really achy even tho I had felt fine all day. Take it easy tonight and hopefully you'll be better tomorrow, and maybe able to take it a bit easier tomorrow

Thanks Kitty,

Today has really been the first day I have done any lifting and carrying. Thankfully my Husband is around tomorrow to help out. I'm worried now about next week now though.

We all take different times to heal and you had unders so you maybe have done to much. Resuming normal life is a requiring lot of movement after only a couple of weeks post op.
Get a mate in or your hubby or see if the kids can go to someone elses for a few hours. Take it easy. Your healing has to take priority over everything!!! xxx
