side boob and arm pit ache
Another post from me about getting sensation back.
Today it all seems to be happening, I just got a shower (I have waterproof dressings) and have noticed I have got so much sensation back today but my armpits and the sides of my boobs feel so tender, there doesn't seem to be any obvious bruising but it feels like it. They are just generally heavy and achy feeling. I have done nothing this afternoon, except drink tea and watch tele!
Has anyone else had this?

Re: side boob and arm pit ache
Hey Suz, I experienced some discomfort / slight pain at the sides also. To me it felt like bruising yet there was no sign of it. It's not too bad now and has gradually got better as the days have progressed. The only thing / cause I can think of is that perhaps it could be where the drains came out as my pain was was near to wear they were.
As I've said, it has got better so hopefully yours will too ?

Hi Girls,
Come to think if it, drains is a possibility. CJA that is exactly how it feels like bruising but I can't see any.
Suzi, my left boob is much tighter than the right and feels a lot harder. I guess thats the swelling?

well i went to my nurse Thursday just gone and asked her about my rite side as its still alot higher and still so tight than my left, its looks like there wonky and theres a slight difference in size, she advised that its completely normal and that my rite side will drop and catch up with the other in time.. ive been told it could take 10 wks... lol wonky boobs 4 10 wks... xxx

Suzi - mine is exactly the same!! Rightie still very swollen and sitting higher than leftie. When I had my check up thursday the nurse suggested I take a couple iburophen to help get the swelling down. So I'm giving that a go......
Still it is early days I'm sure it'll soon sort itself out but currently have wonky nip nips until then! Xx

Re: side boob and arm pit ache
Hi Suzi,
My left boob felt very sore and bruised without any obvious marking too. It lasted about 10 days in all and got worse before it got better. My left boob would hurt when I lay down and I'd also get sharp shooting pains up through to my arm pit, the pain would also increase if I touched my boob (even the slightest touch). My surgeon said it was all due to the muscle getting used the implant and it settling in. Thankfully, it has subsided dramatically over the last couple of days (I'm now 22 days post op).
Also, yes, the tightness will be swelling, this will subside with time. It's still very early days honey. Hope this helps chicky. Good luck with the rest of your recovery. x
