Emmyloo87 wrote:Hey all! I'm very excited it's nearly 2 weeks left. I am hving an implant called Brazilian, it's extra furry on the outside so less chance of capsular hardening. I was a little concerned I had chosen too big. I'm 5"8 58 kgs and having 385 unders. After reading in here that ppl wish they had gone bigger, I spose I should just go for it :).
I always associated a Brazilian with less furr LOL!!!

Sadly I have CC around my right implant. It started a few months after giving birth to my first baby and just progressively got worse with another pregnancy and breastfeeding. It's not as bad as it sounds it's only wonky when I lift my arms up lol!! :teehee: My implants were 11 years old and the surgeon thinks that a combination of old implants, 2 pregnancies where my breasts increased by 2-3 cup sizes and breastfeeding resulted in the CC.
I am taking full advantage of this second op though and going bigger :cheerlead: I would like my breasts to look like they did when I was pregnant.
Anyone else struggling with sorting out their arrangements for the op?? 2 of my main family members who were going to be helping me out are now BOTH having ops themselves (not plastic surgery) before my op and so they will be obviously unable to now help. I am a daycase and assuming my op will be early in the morning we need childcare arranged even earlier. We are now looking at booking a hotel for the night before and asking someone to have the children overnight....this would mean that we would need to come home on the day of the op which I know is not ideal at all.
The other option is that my hubby takes me to the hospital in the morning with the kids and comes back then picks me up later on.....again not ideal as we live 2 hours from London. It's causing me so much stress!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YAY!!! for the girls with the 7th October op dates!! I wish I had gone for an earlier op date now BOO HOO!!!

Re: October Buddies!
Welcome new October buddies... our month is just around the corner!!!
Charlene: I understand the "juggle" with surgury... I too live 2 hrs away from my hospital and I have two little kids and I dont have any of my family in the country... I am staying the night b 4 in a hotel then taking a hotel shuttle to the hospital I will b by myself so my hubby can work the day then he is coming up the afternoon of my op to pick me up and we are staying together a night in a hotel cuz I have to go back to the hosp the next day. I have made arragements to have my mother in law to stay at my house then for a week or so to mind my kids... and all though she is happy enough to do it I am having a lot of guilt about asking her to do this for me especially for an "elective" surgury... and I also have to say one of my biggest concerns with the post op is that I wont b able to do much for my kids for a while (they are 4 & 18mo) It is a big worry and guilt factor for me. .. But I am sure the few weeks of recovery will go fast and things will get back to normal.

5 children wow!! fair play to you I reckon you will easily get a DD with 410's especially as you are already a b/c cup. You might even end up an E!!
Sarah - Not great for you but I am kinda pleased to hear I am not the only one struggling a little with childcare at least someone else knows what I am going through. I am hoping my Mum will be around to help but if her op goes ahead she'll be bed bound for longer than me!! We *think* we may have it sorted now but until I get my time slot I can't really book a hotel.
I have noticed that a fair few of us are having unders....I am starting to get the jitters to whether this is the best choice for me. Are all of you going for unders on your surgeons advice or totally your choice??

Re: October Buddies!
I am going unders just because my ps says they last longer and try look more natural and not like "rocks". Aparenty I have heard that going under the muscle is like having an inbuilt bra. I am also scared that when I have kids and I have overs they will still sag a little ad unders they won't.

Re: October Buddies!
Hi Emmy - that's an interesting thought, I guess the muscle to an extent will hold the implant in place...I suppose this depends on how good your muscles are lol!! When I had my consultation my surgeon asked to me to flex my muscles....I assume this was to see how my muscles move. I am just freaking out about the stories I have heard about when girls flex their muscles the implants/muscles take on a funny shape....apprantly this is really rare but still it's what I keep thinking about

my ps said that i would be better with unders, and seen as he has done about 1200 of them i am leaving it all up to him..

Re: October Buddies!
I'm going from overs to unders so I guess I have almost the dis-advantage of knowing what my boobs look like with overs. I have just read else where that 260cc overs are the same as 300cc unders which would indicate some size is lost with unders. I have an appointment with my surgeon on Wednesday to discuss size again, we chose 460cc's (high profile) for me BUT I would like to know if he could fit 500cc in there. x

I am having partial unders on surgeons advice as I don't have very much breast tissue. From what I have been reading it does give a more natural look to those with little breast tissue but the recovery may take longer.

Re: October Buddies!
Guilt is a funny thing isn't it. We spend most of our time as mothers and wifes making sure everyone else is happy and put ourselves on the back burner. I put off having a BA for over a year to ensure when I did the kids would be a bit more independent. I have 3 yr old twins and a 6 yr old. A year ago the twins were still in cots, needed help getting into their car seats and the bath but now they are in beds and am hoping won't need much lifting (fingers crossed!). Thankfully I have my mum coming over for 2 weeks to help out which is a god send. My husband is fully supportive and lives by the moto "Happy Wife - Happy Life"!! LOL :heehee:
This doesn't stop me from feeling a bit guilty but it's now my turn to do something for myself. To feel confident, womanly and sexy. I will be out of action for a little while, but I think one month isn't too much to ask.
Heading off on hols today for 2 weeks so maybe out of forum action! If I don't manage to get back on good luck to all the October buddies who are having them in the first week! Don't feel guilty - we all deserve this!!
