Hello and welcome to BJSF Lady_R, I'm so sorry to read of the awful time you're going through hun.
I split your post from the other thread babe as you'll get a better response to it having your own thread, we've quite a few ladies who have gone through PIP replacement surgery so they should be along soon with some advice for you hun. xxx

Hi lady_R...I have also got pips, one confirmed rupture and a suspected rupture in the other. For a number of reasons i decided not to go back to my original surgeon and after lots of research have decided to go with Mr Liew, Mybreast. Although you havnt said your implants are ruptured, you have mentioned symptoms. Mybreast are currently offering free nagor implants to all ladies with pip ruptures, i think this reduces the cost of removal and replacement by £500. Im paying £4300 in all. Mybreast also offer one the best aftercare packages and have very reputable surgeons. :good:

Re: PIPs surgeon recommendation please.
I was given surgery dates for november because im £800 short and needed time to save, but with set backs like car problems, school uniforms etc...i have provisionally booked for 20th january to take the pressure off financially. If necessary i can bring my surgery date forward, fortunatley i dont have any symptoms, just random slight ache in my lymph nodes. x

Hi lady R
Sorry to hear you have a rupture.I just had my Pips replaced with Mybreast too and also cost £4300. You have to pay £250 Deposit then the rest 3 wks before your op. I had Nilesh Sojitra at Highgate, he was really nice and made me feel at ease. I'm just over 2 wks post op and so far I'm really chugged with the results. All the best with you re- op hun.Hang on in there hope you feel better soon xxx

Re: PIPs surgeon recommendation please.
Hi
I am booked in for a consultation with Patrick Mallucci from Mybreast on Monday, I had PIPs in in February 2006 and have recently suffered from swelling and pain in both breasts, Im having trouble sleeping too. I had an ultrasound scan on Tuesday but that came back inconclusive, so Im just bot sure what to do next I just wont them out!! I have been in touch with a solicitor who basically told me there really is no one to claim from as Cloverleaf the company that produced the PIP implants is now in liquidation and has no insurance, I have been in touch with HMG but as nearly everyone one of you says they dont want to know if anything they were really quite rude to me!!
So I am now going to see Mr Mallucci on Monday to see what he has to say and to find out what the cost will be, just hoping I can afford to get them replaced, MyBreast have been really helpful and Ive looked into the Nagor implants they use and feel quite confident.
Does anyone have any other advice as what to do or who to see for further advice?
Thanks girls

Re: PIPs surgeon recommendation please.
Thank you for your replies ladies...I have an appointment booked with mybreast in cheltenham with Mr Mcdiarmid on 15/09, I have already had consultation with my local nuffield but prices was so expensive, over £7000. I havent got that sort of money so mybreast price seems very reasonable
Kate613, can I ask what size difference did you get from going from 250 to 390cc, i ask as I have 265cc and not quite sure about how much bigger to go?

Hi Lady R,
Great to hear you booked an appointment your on the way to getting rid of your Pips!! :good:
Size wise i pretty much started with nothing, was very flat chested having a 250cc under the muscle made me a full B/C cup depending on the bra (although my surgeon at Mybreast said i was a definite C the problem was mine were sitting a little too high which he corrected with my re-op ) Im only 3 weeks post op and im currently wearing a 34DD sports bra which is a perfect fit and sometimes a 36D if it feels too tight on the incisions which is a little big on the cups. With a tape measure im currently coming out as 34D so its a bit of mystery as to what the final result is going to be! But the extra 140cc has definatly given me a cup size at least xx
