Morning Boob - how long does it last?
Morning!!
I just wondered, how long does boob last for??
I know everyon heals at different rates, but I just wondered when it went and when you found you could then sleep on your back without having to 'count' yourself up (or is it just me that does this?? :0). )
Thanks!! Xxx

Re: Morning Boob - how long does it last?
LOL. Nope, it's not just you hun, I used the countdown too.
You're 7 days post-op now hun, I think I was around 10days post-op when the morning boob started getting better, but the heaviness did last for me around the 2 week mark.
I stuck with ice packs to help aid the swelling, it did give me a lot of relief and also helped the swelling to go down.
For me I felt the morning boob was the worst of my BA recovery (that and the initial sickness EW!) I would find myself just lying there for ages preparing myself mentally for the 'up'! Thankfully it is only short term though and does settle - Hope you don't have too much longer to put up with it sweetness. xxx

Thanks cookie & Daisylou. I'm with you cookie on the whole morning boob being the most uncomfortable thing from this recovery.
I'm finding that I am almost dreading going to sleep as i know I've got the morning boob to deal with. Thankfully, it only lasts for half an hr (I timed it yesterday, how sad am I?!)
I've got to return back to work Tuesday so I've decided I'm gonna get up half an hr earlier just do I can relax a little more and then get ready once it's MB subsided !!
Xx

HAPPY 1 WEEK CJA!
I roll onto my side and then take a deep breath and go onto my forearm and roll off the edge of the bed.
Can you look at my post par for the course and let me know if you are suffering from the abs and teeth symptoms i mention at the end of the post.
Has anyone else stretched when they woke up......and then wished the had engaged their brain first!!
Or had a sneezing fit!! OWCH!
Cheers

Re: Morning Boob - how long does it last?
Oh Yeah I remember morning boob I had to ask on here what it was. After a few weeks it just went. Every now and then I get a sharp shooting pain especially after exercising but that about it now.
Oh and did anyone get the hard boobs like a letdown when you were breastfeeding that was weird.

Hey ceejay -- happy anniversary too!!
Just saw your post - and I've responded back too ....
Re the arm stretch - funnily enough (although i WAS NOT laughing!!) I did that this morning as I was half asleep - it certainly woke me up with a start!!
The other day I swollowed some water and it went down the wrong hole - i ended up having a coughing fit whilst clutching my babies - god that hurt!! Also, laughing - that hurts too and I feel the need to clutch my new assets then as well!!!

OK, what is 'morning boob'?? Another thing for me to dread! lol xx
Re: Morning Boob - how long does it last?
Tanyajade - it's a heavy dull ache in your boobs when you first get out of bed - can be really quite sore - almost like someone is squeezing them really hard, but does subside after about 20 - 30 mins and shouldn't bother you through the day.

I do get morning boob but it goes really quickly, the worst part for me it the nerves knitting back together, I sting, tingle, itch and my skin feels like bad sunburn.
All worth it though
