Re: My Little update
KKKK it's not possible to know that your implants are ok without ultrasound or mri. Just feeling them will not give a definitive answer. I think if you have an uplift they use smaller implants to get the same size so if you want to go bigger then maybe you wont need too big an implant. What I would say though is get some different opinions with different surgeons about the uplift and size of implant. If you have loose skin and put a bigger implant in then your boobs may still sag and not look perky, if you have an uplift and implant then they should look perky (if im not making sense it's because of wine). Don't settle for one opinion. This PIP's thing has taught us to not take the surgeons word as gospel. It's your body and you want the best for your body so make sure you're 100% happy with the advice and treatment you get xxx

Re: My Little update
Littleone is right KKK, it's impossible for your surgeon to tell you your implants haven't ruptured based on an examination of your breasts alone. The 'only' way to know either way whether or not your implants have ruptured is to have an ultrasound/MRI scan and given the rupture rate of PIPs it would be advisable for you to do that if you're possibly hoping to take advantage of your after-care policy.
If you do have a rupture confirmed through ultrasound/MRI, then not only will you get your implants replaced for free, but all surgery costs will be covered - free hospital stay, free surgeons fees, free theatre costs. The only extra you'd have to pay for is your choice to have an uplift, which will be a lot less, than having to pay for everything.
If your implants are ruptured and the surgeon is telling you just from examining you that they aren't. They earn themselves quite a few quid from you hun, and you won't be eligible for a refund later if you choose to go ahead based on the surgeons 'opinion' and that's all he's giving you from a basic examination hun, he cannot confirm that you do not have a rupture unless he can refer to an ultrasound/MRI scan.
So go to your GP before making any decisions hun. Have the ultrasound/MRI done and take things from there sweetness. xx

Re: My Little update
thanks for advice girls i have made appointment with gp to see if i can get a ultrasound as my surgeon was quite quick in deciding that i will get my implants replaced free of charge but he insisted that there wasnt a rupture.so the advice they gave wen they sed if there is no problems wiv implants they dont need changing that didnt come into it.wen he sed i have loose skin off having kids didnt believe that as up till 3-6months ago there was no loose skin and wen i bent over my implants stayed where they were but now if i bend over i can grab underneath of my implants as if i am holdin them in my hands now surely thats not normal

Re: My Little update
Vix the end is in sight!
Having money issues at the mo. Have saved 1750, have a 500 cheque coming from an account I no longer use and my mum is giving me 1000. I'm still 1000 short for mybreast. I can't get finance/credt/loans/overdraft extensions as I have a poor credit rating. So may have to delay my op until I can get the rest of the money together.
Up and down like a yo-yo.

Re: My Little update
Vix i'm already there!!!
Had a fab consult yesterday.
Mr W advised 300cc impleo high profile implants, removal of the massive lump in my armpit but leaving the little one as it's in a tricky area and after reading the MHRA report just now i'm happy with that. He also advised leaving the capsule which confused me as Mr F at MYA advised taking it out. But again following the MHRA report that's fine by me. Also to keep costs down he said he'd write to my gp and arrange nhs testing of the armpit lump. So he'd remove it, give it to me in a pot and i take it to my gp.
He also said he can be flexible with his payments and possibly stagger them so that I can keep my surgery date. I almost cried when he said that.
Just need to chat with patient coordinator and find out how much i need to pay before surgery and what to do next.
They're coming out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: My Little update
Oh that's such good news little one! I'm so glad that things are looking so positive for you. I'm 3 weeks post pip removal now and starting to feel normal again and even better that it's looking like the filler is not toxic. You're nearly there now! Xx

Re: My Little update
Little One that is fantastic news on the payments!
I am so pleased for you, get those nasties out, yay! Do you have a date yet?
I am feeling much better about the op now we know they are not toxic. Just looking forward to it.
My surgeon has not said anything about the capsule, i am going to ask him o the day, as i have no signs of leakage i assume he will see what state it is in during the op and decide then.
Has anyone said what is going to happen to the PIPs afterwards? If i am going to continue with solicitors they want them to be tested, and said they either have to be kept at the hospital or take them home, (which sounds a bit yucky).
I am so happy things are finally moving forward for you
xx
