Sports Bra or Surgical Bra? Empty Sports Bra or Surgical Bra?

Post by suz0410 5th August 2010, 8:35 am

Hi everyone

I'm currently trailing the web looking for sports Bras and Post Op Bras.

Has anyone used any of the post op / surgical bras or are the sports bras fine?

Also do you find you need to go up a size in sports bras? I got a 34 D in the post today and it looks really small??

I am having 300 cc round unders, currently a 32 / 34 B depending on make.

Thanks you

Sports Bra or Surgical Bra? Empty Re: Sports Bra or Surgical Bra?

Hi,

I was put in a 38C after surgery and it was tight but I think that is good to keep everything from moving. I have been measured as a 34dd now. Everything is pretty swollen after surgery. I would contact your doctor and see what they say. I'm sure you'll get more replies soon too.

Sports Bra or Surgical Bra? Empty Re: Sports Bra or Surgical Bra?

Suz I was put into a surgical bra. Mr Richards always does this and I had to leave it on for 7 days. It was a Design Veronique "Allysandra" bra. It is front fastening and adjustable at trhe back and straps. I found it very comfortable i have to say, but then i found my sports bas very comfy too. The surgical bra came included with my surgery but they are about £40 to buy which I don't think i would have paid when you can get a sports bra for £6 in Asda!!

Most girls get a few bras as it is hard to tell what u will want.
Get some around the cup size you expect to be and one a bigger cup too. Also go up on your back measurement. A 34 back girl may well need a 36 in the first week due to swelling. Keep receipts and you can get refunds on the bras u don't need. xxx

I think i'll order a 36 just in case. I don't think Spire include a post op bra but i'll give them a call to see.

Thanks x x x

I'm not sure about phoning Hun, I guess it depends on who your with. I know with Spire I can speak with one of the nurses whenever I need to. My surgeon said I can go back as many times as I need.
