What position to sleep in post op?
Hi girls
I've been sleeping with 3 pillows and on my back since my BA 4 days ago, should I continue to sleep on my back? I'm worried about dislodging my implants if I sleep on my side!!! Silly I know. I'm not in any pain btw.

The 'general advice' is to stay slightly elevated (head and shoulders raised) for at least a week hun to help till the majority of the swelling subsides and then if you're comfortable, try sleeping on your side. xx

I'd say stay on the back. At 3 weeks post op I am still propped up with the V pillow I am desperate to sleep on my side and it feels like my boob is pulling away from me so I just elevate one hip to feel like I'm on my side. Hubby can't wait to get all the pillows out of the bed lol

I slept propped up for about a week..it drove me crazy! but i did find that putting a pillow under my knees helped me stop slipping down in the middle of the night+stopped my back from aching so much!

Re: What position to sleep in post op?
I'm 3 days post-op and would LOVE to sleep on my side. Ugghhh! I tried tricking my body by positioning 5 different pillows to get a sort-of-side-sleeping position and woke up with a very sore left boobie :( I'll be staying on my back for a while......

i slept on my back until it felt comfortable to sleep on my side. Now i do both, but mostly on my back fla\t. I never thought id be able to sleep on my back as i was alwys a tummy sleeper, but ive actually got used to it fine

Re: What position to sleep in post op?
im still sleeping on my back nearly 5wks PO and its starting to give me a bad shoulder now and my legs get fidgety, i am a side sleeper but it feels weird still if i try to sleep side on, my boob pulls and although my back feels nice and comfy im worried bout boobie being all oddly positioned.. gonna try side sleeping again tonight and just wedge my V pillow down the side of my back for support,
so id say sleep on your back till boobs feel comfy with you on your side...
