Update on my Infection...
Hi everyone
Sorry for all my rambling posts but I got the OK from the hospital to stop IV therapy for my incision infection and put on oral pills. I checked my incisions today and they don't look any different?! I hope they didn't just assume things were getting better I still have not gotten a hold of my PS since thier office has been closed since Wednesday. I can see the stitches poking out now but there is still some white fluid around the incision...I also can feel a poke kind of like a nerve is being poked when I put down my arm and move it a certain way...I have read on another post that the stitches coming out can be a little painful? (I believe Cookie said this)
Please help I will update you all tomorrow when I see my ps. Cross your fingers ladies.

Re: Update on my Infection...
Awww hunni, I hope all goes well with your surgeon tomorrow, I think it's awful that you had no cover whilst your clinic was closed - Fingers, toes and eyes! all crossed for you babes.
Yeah, stubborn stitches can hurt as they come to the surface, if you do find any coming up, you should go to your clinic and have them snipped hunni, your nurse should take them out for you.
It does sound from what you describe like there is some pressure on a nerve, this could be caused from swelling though hun, you should mention it when you visit your surgeon and have him check that out for you too. xxx

Thank you so much ladies. I will be making sure I wait no longer to see him! I am so frustrated and will definately be expressing how I feel about their 24 hr line that doesn't work!! I will update you as soon as I know. This looks so bad at work as I can't go.
